Tks for the info. My address is more than 1km from SCGS…but still under M-Kallang GRC. Does it mean that I cannot join RN/NC under SCGS division?

FYI, last year there is no balloting under P2B...
U still can join but scare there will be balloting in future under P2B... Maybe u can stay within 1km to have a better chance

If the <1km address is not within the GRC/SMC, then you will not be a EM in the RC/NC

Besides free parking, there is priority in selecting HDB. Bear in mind only within GRC.


Some members serving for 20-30 years, never even use the benefits at all. Some never own a car and not even moving house.

Nowadays, the younger ones who join, we know their agenda. It is good to start submitting when the kid is 3 years old. Served till at least when the kids reach P2 lah. Do not want to involve in anymore RC, best is to move house far far away from the GRC.
Sometimes, do things based on our own merit rather than owing MP or chairman favour.

Once your residential address is out of the GRC/SMC, you will not be a member anymore

if there is a passion in serving the community, membership can be transferred. Have to maintain 2 years as an Associate members before transfering to another GRC.
