I would like to know more about the school in terms of the following:

      1) How does the teachers prepare the students for PSLE? Any extra lesson conducted after school hours?
      2) What is the workload of a P6 student? πŸ˜„
      3) Are the students groom in terms of confidence as well as academically?

My son has gotten a place in Phase 2B. πŸ˜„

By the way, any parents have any advice on what to expect during orientation on 20th Nov 09? Are we going to buy books and school uniform that day?

        Thanks. πŸ˜‰

My dd is in P1 now and my advice to all the parents whose kids are going to Pei Hwa next year, please go early to buy the books and uniform cos' their bookshop is really bad. You can wait in the queue for more than an hour and still you can't get everything. Last year, they gave us the list of stationery and books to buy as well as the dates that we could get it before orientation, so do it beforehand. It is a diaster to do it on orientation day itself.

        Good luck.

Thanks for your advice. I understand from the school that they will be mailing out the booklist to us sometime in October, prior to the orientation. Did any one receive the list? I've not.

        Thanks,
        WY Wong

Hi, any parent has sent their child to the PHP Student Care Centre?

Is it any useful for your child, in terms of supervising child on getting work done? Is there a selection criteria? No of places?

My child will be going to P1 next year - still no letter from school on Orientation on 20 Nov.

Any advise will be appreciated! Thanks!

I was at the bookshop this morning 11am to buy new uniforms for my boy. According to the shop assistant, parents can buy the uniform now, no need to wait till orientation day. Just tell the security guard you are going to the bookshop.

The bookshop has a good variety of various sizes now. Better buy asap as my experience was the small sizes for P1 are limited stock.

                  Boy shirt size starts from #26. #26-30 @$10/-, #32-36 @$10.50, #38-42 @$11/-

                  Boy shorts size starts from #18, #18-24 @$10/-, #26-30 @$11.50. #32-36 @$12.50, #38-42 @$13.50

                  Girl blouse size starts from #26, #26-30 @$10/-, #32-36 @$10.50, #38-42 @$11/-

                  Girl skirt size starts from #18, #18-24 @$9.80, #26-30 @$10.80, #32-34 @$12.50, #36-38 @$13.80

                  PE t-shirt size starts from #26, #26-30 @$5/-, #32-36 @$5.50, #38-42 @$6/-

                  PE shorts size starts from #26, #26-34 @$7/-, #36-46 @$8/-

PHPPS Socks (cotton/spandex with grey sole) comes in S/M/L, Pack of 4 @$10/-, $2.50 per pair

Bookshop tel 64651339. Do not go during the recess periods.

                    Hi Jennifer!

For your eldest boy, how long did the uniform last? Did you need to buy new uniform for him every year?

This boy grows up, but not sideways

He is still wearing his P4 uniform shirt and PE shirt/shorts. Only bou new uniform shorts in P5. I remember when he was in BPPS, his P1 uniform lasted him till P3. I had wanted to buy new shirts for him last year, but the new ones are of the new design which is tucked out type. He does not like those, so he continues to wear the old design ones though they are really thin. On rainy days, I made him wear a white t-shirt underneath the uniform becos the sch bus aircon is quite cold.

As for #2, the uniform shirt from P1 is now fitting (we already bou the smallest size then). The uniform shorts also look ridiculously short on him now. He seldom wears them this year becos the FT gives them PE everyday. Still very good condition.

                        Hi, sierracheckmate.

Can I check with you how many classmates in Pri 3 have Chinese tuition? Did you feel the standard jump from P2 to P3 is great?

#2 scored 36/50 for his paper 2 this SA2. I met and spoke to his Chinese teacher who recommends #2 to go for tuition next year.
