All About Violin Classes and Teachers

At 3.5 years old, I feel that the child should go for a group class and not
individual. The child needs the interaction, and peer learning is good. -
Is there any school recommended for group violin class for 3.5YO?
I only know of Seimpi and Yamaha…
I also hope parents who managed to get their children to start violin at 3.5YO can share their experience on how to get it started pls! TQ! -

You might find a few Singaporean kids 3 or 4yo videos on Youtube. Maybe you can message their parents. Many are learning with either Mandeville or Macs, I think.
This mom - who is also on KS parents, shared her blog here, I think. You can explore it. She does write about her suzuki journey with her son.

That's what Mandeville said in their email. I even emailed Tr Sylvia personally and she said she doesn't teach 1-to-1, and prefers boys not to start too young.phankao,

Teach BOTH of your kids? How to find \"good\" teacher to come to house? Piano teacher maybe, but I've not heard of many violin teachers. What location is considered convenient for you? I remember reading about one teacher in Bedok Reservoir who is experienced with 3yos. Is that location ok for you? -
Is there anyone taught by Mr Alex Yi before?

Has anyone taught by Mr Alex Yi (violin) before?

My dd started with Mandeville at 2.5yrs old, she is 6 now. She is using Suzuki method, on book 3. Probably could have gone faster but this mommy is very lazy to nag for practice.
She started off with group class till 4, before switching to 1 on 1.
For Mandeville, they have very good teachers & very so so teachers. Of course, the good ones are usually fully booked.
It is a huge commitment to start an instrument, for the adults. This is especually true for Suzuki method, and young age. Lots of tears & fights to be expected.
