Just take a look at the survey results!!

Could we have more members vote please. Bigger sample more reliable.

Chen, tsk, tsk your survey hor... makes our world class education look bad.
It would look worse if I had asked...

      Are all MOE schools good?

Now at least, people can quibble about the word \"same\".

        I disagree totally

It is because of this world class education system, we have chen to come out with this survey, else nothing at all

It is still a world class education system. Question is - which class ? First Class ? 3rd Class ?

Why can't MOE set the exam papers for all levels so each student are tested on the same papers and should be based on MOE syllabus. There is no need to send to tution centers since all kids should hv been taught what is being tested?

Not practical for all schools to take the same paper..

Like GCE O & A levels, must coordinate swee swee.. meaning all schools must test on the same days for the same subjects or else there is issue of leakage of questions. Must consider the added complexity in the logistics involved..

Sounds like a real disadvantage to students whose parents can't teach them at home - either due to work or educational background.
Not when the system is functioning the way it shd be..

              Teachers Teach, not parents.

Student got problems, look for school teachers after class..

Isn't that how it works in the past?

6pm-9pm still peak hrs at most enrichment centres, make it 8am-8pm (all play, lessons, hw time included), then reach home 9pm. No time for enrichments and no time for parents to teach also like that then fair mah. All hw must be done in school. All textbook and assessment must be left in school. Like that parents don't have to stress over it. :congrats:

Teachers need to work in shifts now, making the teaching profession even less attractive. How many parents here would dare to venture into the teaching profession if our kids stay in school from 8 am to 8 pm?

Teachers seem very busy huh but they have time to give tuition or open tuition centre and teach after school :? My friends enquired alot of centres, they said they're current teachers and give tuition after school!!!

Enrichments are legal business how to ban ??
Selling chewing gum was legal in the past..

Providing enrichment classes is currently legal..

Not an issue.. teacher teach normal hours.. 4pm to 8pm maybe non-NIE trained teaching staff/childcare..

but I worry parents will complain no time to spend with kids etc..
