I don’t think there is any communication with regards to English or Maths tests…sign…school communication really need to work on it. spelling or 听写 also happen suka suka changes or dun have…til I also dun want to keep track already. Anyway it is just spelling…I don’t bother so much…else too many things to bother!

But I believe when in P3 onwards, they definitely have time table informing parents and boys the test or exam dates? P3 parents and above, please share…

Hi, my experience is that there is definitely a letter informing parents of the topics to be tested , dates, sources of revision etc for formal exams that are counted towards the final marks at year end. Even in P2. Perhaps the test that yr boy had was a \"surprise\" one, not the formal CA1, SA1 etc. I recalled my boy also had one \"surprise\" test for eng and maths last time. Spelling and tingxie also fixed at a certain day of the week but sometimes will be postponed and my boy (and me) also lost track of which one to learn.....

As for the ghost thingy, my boy had been talking abt it when they were at the old premise. U mean there is also \"ghost\" at the temporary premise? :scared:

                    thanks breadandmuffins for the update

I guess with regards to \"ghost\" every school has a story to tell 😂 but my boy did not say ghostly stories when they were in Essex Road..

any parents preparing your boys for St Joseph's Idol? think it was quite fun and enjoyable to watch them during auditions...

hi happy to be mum, just saw in the other thread abt yr comment aby yr boy not having any enrichment vs many others who had…I am just like u, every now and then, I will look at the enrichment available but will rationalise to myself why he needs any. In the end, he didnt hv any enrichment. Only subject where he had enrichment is CHinese, even this he stopped in P4 telling me he will cope on his own. He is doing fine too. and some of his friends also has no tuition (except for Chinese). Thereere also many comments abt school teaching less etc but still testing them on challenging questions which were not taught…I dont see it happening to my DS, so whatever he is tested is taught leh…(maybe SJI J standard not so high??)The only problem is that I am starting to hv problem helping him on those challenging maths qns from Onsponge ( he used onsponge maths too for P4)…dont understand and need to sit down and try to digest…
