but always my son lost in CA1 cos mummy didn't know how to prepare or never put that effort,I don't know why. This time I am happy but i remind myself a caution there will be more harder exams coming on the way. hope and
May I know when will be the SA1 usually coming?coming june we need to go holiday cun attend a wedding is in May 23.Is it possible to attend the wedding?I saw in the MOE website 26 th of May will start the school holidays.so the before week should be gave the marks.hopefully exam is not in that week.So I can book tickes on 18 0r 19? -
My DD1's SA1 exam dates are not out yet but my guess is that the main papers usually fall on the 8th week of Term 2 so most likely will be from 7th May onwards
Smartmummy, maybe you can drop an e-mail to your DS's FT and check with her the dates so you can make arrangement for booking of air-ticket as well to plan for your holiday

Good for you and your DS. I'm sure he had put in his best.I am waiting for my son to fetch from school.
How r u? Hope ur dd satisfied u.
I haven't yet received sci marks.
Mt no improvement still in the low band2.
Eng in high band2.
Maths in band1 its a pleasant surprise for me and my son.
I hope my DS's results will come out by this week... He told me FT singled out 6 kids, who only got single digit pass... and they had to sign up for remedial classes. DS told me that these 6 are from the Financial assistance scheme and their parents cannot coach them at home and have no means to go tuition. I felt sad upon hearing that, but I reminded DS how lucky he is that I can afford tuition etc for him. -

Its very difficult without tuition and no coaching at home.
My son also said someone last year failed, but this year got pass mark and he was happy.
I pray harder my son should do like this for maths(without careless mistakes)following exams.
Still mt very killing part.he refused to go to tuition. Then with me not sitting properly.Only before exam I just can't stand and forced him to sit with me.I can't imagine everyday like that

Today I told him we rest for a week then will start compo writing,he asking for how many hrs?I don't know why always he counting.I told him if u study like that then before the exam a big load will sit in ur head. -
Hi 2002 Mummies!
I have been following this thread, but I have been silent because β¦ well because I do not send my dd for tuition, I stopped coaching her fr the start of this year and am waiting for her to fail, but sheβs in the top class in school and goes dancing all the time because sheβs in SYF this year.
No, I donβt remember her her saying that she had CA1 this year, but I did tell her to ask me if she had anything she needed help with. She does OnSponge in school, but seems to have lots of corrections for Science. Mostly I ask encourage her to remember the mistakes she made, understand why and where she went wrong, and to remember the concept.
But I do feel rather stressed up because I do not know if I should send her for tuition now, or if itβll be too late when she actually does fail. I hope that Iβll have enough saved up from not sending her for tuition if I need to send her overseas in future. I do not need her to be top of her cohort, but wonder if Iβm holding her back by not pushing her harder. I guess I should be thankful that she does her school homework conscientiously, without any prodding from her parents. But I still buy her homework books from popular that mostly sit on the shelf gathering dust. Guess Iβll be giving them away (AGAIN!) this year.
She just brought home her Term I progress report. I wonder what "meeting expectations"(ME) means. She mostly has this ME for all her subjects. It reminds me of her kindergarden report where they report on stuff like "able to stand on one foot β ME". Oh, but she got something like "Counting up to 1 000 β exceeding expectations". I wonder if theyβll have a column on "counting up to 1 000 000" next year β¦ -
