to be safe join the RC first as a platform. Once develops the passion to serve the community, move on to join other sub-groups.

Go to the CC nearest to your house. Ask them ‘I am staying at this block or condominium or street name, which RC or NC do I belong to?’ Take the registration form, don’t forget to bring 1 passport photo, submit to them immediately. Ask them this question ‘Who is the CO in charge of this RC or NC?’ write down the CO name and e-mail address.
Write an email to the CO, telling him/her that you have submitted your application form, ask her/him to follow up and arrange to attend the inducton programme and first RC meeting as an observer.
Once you are in the RC, you will know how to pick up from there.

You have to take note, RC is different from the CCC, CCMC and other subgroups. CCC, CCMC and other subgroups make up at least working and professional individuals who understand Policy changes and will compile.
Whereas RC members comprises of funny funny category and all sort of family background. Those older members are usually cannot accept changes set by PA. Some refuse to follow PA guidelines.

Currently I am registered under Youth Executive Committee. Can I also get the endorsement letter? Or must be RC member?

One more question, this committee is not near to my place but is classified under the same GRC as the school? Will this qualified for the enrolment also?

Hi, YEC member is not entitled to P2B privilege, only CCMC member.
Usually YEC Chairman is automatically CCMC member and our committee will invite a couple more YEC member as CCMC member as well.

CCMC member is entitled to register for P2B in the GRC they reside and served.

          Hi,

Sorry just curious about being a RC... How does being a RC helps as is under phase 2B. Isn't that the same as those balloting for that sch stay within 1km?

          Thks

Thks[/quote]Assume school intake is 300 children:-
After completion of Phase 2A, the balance is divided equally into Phase B and Phase C. In the event Phase B is undersubscribe, the vacancy will flow over to phase C.

In Phase B and C, distance to school is use to determine priority.
Generally, in popular school, phase B will be oversubscribed.

If you are not in Phase B (GrassRoot Leader, PV, Clan), then you are effectively losing out another 25% chance and generally left with 25% chance in phase C for popular school.

If you are in Phase B but unfortunately, did not get in, then you will have another shot at Phase C.

You sounded like you are confused with the registration phases and home-school distance.

Living within 1km does not qualify you for phase 2B, nor any other phases. Living close to the school gives you the priority to be chosen during the registration phase to which you belong.

Registration phases are determined by your relationship with the school.

                Hi,

My gal is born in 08.
If my target school is not within the same GRC as my current address but I will be moving to the school’s GRC in the year of registration, can I now serve in the GRC of the target school? Does anyone know? Who can I check?

When you sign up as volunteer, PA will look at your address as that point of time and assign you to the RC/NC in that GRC

you still can transfer your membership to the new GRC.

but you have to give PA allowance for 6 mths to do the transferring. Still need a letter signed by the Adviser (MP). This is like ‘owing’ someone’s favour.
