Like school have no name....sigh. :stupid:

This is a good one. I like it. I encountered this too.

Neighbourhood school or whatever schools also have a name. Don't know why some parents are so secretive in revealing the school name. Parents should feel proud of the school their child is in. When telling other parents in front of the child, it makes the child feel recognised he belongs to that school.

ya, ask her dd tikam tikam on toto, maybe will strike...just joking ๐Ÿ˜›

hahaha i think the probability for GEP is much higher than toto... select 500 out of 4000 students the probability is 12.5%

Actually, the probability of getting into GEP is about 500 out of the total cohort of about 50 000 P3 pupils(1%). Not sure about the chances of winning toto though! ๐Ÿ˜„

Time to move on. The fact that she got into the second round is an achievement in itself.

juz curious, anyone have more than 1 child in gep cls? Wondr if its due to genes or drilling? ๐Ÿ˜›

                    Hi
                    Just to share
Eldest boy completed GEP, now at HCI.
2nd Boy passed 1st test, but stop at 2nd. But he managed to get into high ability class and mixed partially with the GEPers, MT and SS, and rest of the projects.
3rd boy waiting for tomorrow or next week result.
But from my wife contact, there are two family that she know, all the kids are in GEP.
                    Cheers.

So Bing_he, can u share with us how u nurture your kids or u think they are juz naturally talented? Its so lucky to have a gifted kid, somemore u have 3, god is good to you. Somehow, i tink parents nurturing and the environmt the kids grow up in have some impact, of course there are some juz really naturally gifted, dun nd to do anything with them.

We should really start a New Forum named as \"Journey to GEP\" inviting all current and past GEP parents and students to participant. They can share anything related from day 1 conceived till got the GEP letter. Topics that I can think of (but not limited to it)
                      - type of food the child gets during infant
                      - early teaching
                      - early sign of a gifted child
                      - which childcare or early learning centre
                      - which Pri Sch
                      - what kind of books they were exposed to
                      - teaching methods
                      - the list goes on......

Please feel free to add on.....
