Yes! We should not rely on maids so much!

Amber, are u looking for a full size or desktop dishwasher?

I think full size is more useful cos it can wash utensils plus cutlery. But I think the wash cycle is abt 1 hour. Wonder if that means higher consumption of water?

      Hi mamemo

I agree that full size is more practical. 12l of water per wash. About $1200 from Borcsh (approx 2 month maid salary + levy :)) I think good enough. If you wash by running water it is also easily 12l.

I saw the full size Bosch selling at $999 in Carrefour last month. Not sure whether it's the model you are looking for...can wait for everyday card promo...10% discount!

              hi

for bosch products, can get it cheaper fr their agents like parisilk or kong tai. My kitchen all bosch products including the dishwasher. I rinsed off the food items after each meal (fr breakfast till dinner) and put them in as and when my "container " is full. Then wash once at nite. Its quite economical for families like mine who eats at home every meal plus snacks plus 4 kids plus drinks round the clock etc. So far after 6mths ok, no smell leh.

Ha, my record for not folding clothes was 3 days in a row over the last weekend since my maid left…

How long does your dishwasher finish its job? I actually saw some at Best Denki too, but it needs almost 2hrs i think!! That's what puts me off or made me brake... cos' am really worried abt water and electricity... do u see a spike in your utilities bills??

Is running tap really almost 12l of water?? Cos' when i saw 12l seems alot, but really no idea how much water we are actually using when we use the running tap! :scratchhead:

                    Hi,

Care to share the model of your ironing system? Wonder if its the same as 1 of the other mommy who shared?? I have yet to check it out, and will be keen to find out more... TIA!!

In case of misunderstanding, I meant that I do not need to move the iron a few times on the same spot to get satisfied results. So one business shirt need about 8 strokes of iron.

Mine is also Philips brand but lower model, GC7430. Bought at best denki during promo for $299. Think 24 hr mum bought the higher end one. Thing to note is that these iron has huge water tank that is separate from the iron. So need to buy a more sturdier ironing board to support the weight. My new ironing board is $50.

Thanks for the model... will make another visit to find out more.
Where did u buy the sturdier ironing board? I tot most places sells similarly quite fragile ones...

                        Hi SMH Forest,

I dun have a dishwasher now but mine in UK had a few functions. You can wash for 2 hours or 45 min up to u. Here in Singapore maybe the models are more limited in function selection.

I am not saying running water uses up 12l of water. It could vary depending on amount of dishes. One way for you to measure is to wash your dishes and collect the water in a container. Hope that clarifies. πŸ˜„
