IDad:
I suspect you have completely misunderstood what I'm saying in the post.
If you did not bother to read my posts, please refrain from quoting me and shaft words in my mouth! I'm definitely not the 1 who came out with points 1 & 2 above.
I'm saying, point 1 and 2 is the \"skewed reasoning\" that you might be \"referring to\", and Not that point 1 and 2 originated from you.
However, since you reacted so strongly against it, I apologise for quoting you.
I retract my wrong assumption. -
Don't need to do the baey MP thingy... Simi sai also need to apologize... Freedom of speech lah...

Nebbermind:
How many percentage of Primary school children go GEP? :skeptical:
How far is far?limlim:
Given a choice, all parents would WANT the kid to be nearby (their school if choice is nearby).
Given a choice, NOT all parents would want the kids to be in the alumni school.
So, Distance shd be given priority over alumni since it is the \"fairest\".. What is fair? refer below question..
Ask yourself.. between 2 top-popular schools, one is alumni and far far away, and one is nearby at the doorstep, which one would you choose?
Answer this question to your conscience, and it is clear which criteria shd be given higher priority.
From what I know, the nearest GEP school is still quite a distance from Woodlands. I really wonder how many will give up the chance to switch school if selected.
We are discussing about P1 registration system which affects the whole cohort, if not at least for the 100+ schools that needed to ballot and resulted in many having had to turn to further away schools from their home last year. :skeptical: -

Sorry did not make myself clear earlier.topic is about priority for P1 registration.
P1 boh simi sai GEP.
My point is that if u r an alumni of a top-popular school, I seriously doubt that distance will be a concern, just like people have no qualms about switching to GEP schools even though it could be very far away from home.
OK, I can't speak for all but I believe there's a good % of parents who donch mind the distance. -

Gee, I thought the underlying message is quite clear. We hope such \"powerful alumni\" will stand up and \"fight\" for the phase 2A to be retained. So that we can ride on their coat-tails as well. How about that?
