GEP - good to in but nothing is lost if can't make it. She's still a very gifted girl.

I do agree. She scored well in SA2 all subject abv 95 marks. She is in 3 Charity (Top class). Hope she can get over it soon

It saddens me when I hear the following:
A K2 girl broke down when she failed to be balloted into RGPS.
P3 children breaking down because they can't get into the gifted program.
P6 children crying because they can't solve the difficult PSLE math problem.
There is more to life than the above issues. If such children or their parents were to venture beyond their comfort zones and look at how the other children in certain parts of the world live and survive.......haiz....

In that aspect my dd is definitely coping well with the result. When I called her just now she was playing with her Nintendo DS and she told me in a bochap manner: “I have got this letter today that says “Thank you for participating in the selection exercise for the GEP. We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for the GEP….””
She haven’t got back her SA2 though because they just finished their exams yesterday. -

wah, I didn't know there's a school hidden so far inside the toh tuck est. must be at least 20min walk from the main rdAgree. But despite being a relatively unpopular school, the results showed students are not being shortchanged in BTPS.
PS : More than 30 students sat for the second round.

Just my personal view…
Except for the first case, I feel it is alright to feel sad and cry over the ‘setbacks’. Most important is to be able to pick oneself up and look forward. It’s part and parcel of growing up.
