All About Life Without Maids

hi daranic,
Wow, you acted very fast! How much did you pay for your roomba?1amber:
tee hee hee,
dashed down last night to IT show at Suntec to get my toys - the roomba 780 and the scooba. Took roomba home last night and now it has been cleaning my home since this morning (2.5hours already and still going strong because home has not been cleaned for more than 1 week  ). So here is my quick review:
1. It is not as noisy as I thought it to be.
2. Seems quite haphazard but cleans very well. It was so meticulous with our bedroom.
3. Easy to remove dirt from the bin.
Can anyone share how this idapt technology works? My home configuration is quite irregular. It doesn't seem to be able to clean all rooms at one go. I had to chaperon it and restart at the rooms not previously cleaned.
Other than that, I have fallen in love with my roomba. :rahrah:
I paid a total of $2246 for both. $300 off for the scooba because I bought both at once.
Actually I had wanted to get them last month but the roomba was out of stock. So this time I made sure I got it before my family gets drowned by the dirt in the house. :nailbite: -
Can I know how long does the battery lasts? I heard only 3-4 months and how much does a replacement battery costs?

Same here.....am having fun with my Roomba.
Agree with your views....thot it would be noisy but quite ok. Tho it seems haphazard, it does clean quite well for areas that it come across. Something interesting.....first day, it took ~2 hours to clean, 2nd day ~1.5hours, 3rd day ~50mins. Wondering if it's because not much to clean it will auto reduce the time required? Will continue to monitor.
Currently, I just let it run in the hall......yet to try room cos' room got lotsa stuff, may not be effective to let it bump around. -
SMH FOREST:
Hi, 2 in my family have long hair.
Thanks for the reviews!
Hmmm.. thing is, i have long hair, and it gets stuck in the navibot's roller brush at the bottom... very silly if you ask me... will probably call the svc ctr to enquire further... if its how it works, im so so bummed!!!
Most of the hair are caught in the bin, but there are some at roller brush.....I would think it's inevitable. If the roller brush reach the hair before the vacuum, likely it'll get stuck there. Currently I clear the bin and brush after every use.....cos' I dun want it to end up like the broom all entangled with hair. -
How much?

Hi fifiyeo, can I check whether u keep it on throughout day and night or on only on certain times when u scheduled it to run ? We are concerned abt the batt life if we keep it on 24/7...dasalo:
