Where do you get the facts?zakashi:
St Hilda 2011 primary one registration. Under phased 2B the vacancies was 38. Does anyone knows how many applicants try to apply under P2B within 1km?
For phase 2B, if it exceed the registration vacancy, than there will be a ballot. Phase 2B can be registered as long as you are a PV, Church/Clan member in that school, regardless where you stay, no nid to be 1km. That is what i know...
Are you a PV, church/clan member in St Hilda's? -
Hi i am staying within 1 km of gong shang and my girl is going P1 next year. i did not do any volunteer work and not any special member, how high is my chance of getting her in? any one can advise?
-
You can see Gongshang's balloting history http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/tampines.
Basically, you will need to ballot for whatever remaining places left for phase 2C.
From past history, it was about 2 applicants for each available place...so about 50% chance. -
heard that, tampines primary school new vice principal is Mdm Quah Li Ling Mae, she is a former vice principal of Rosyth Primary School…(i like)…

hey friends, need some advice.
i am going to register my girl this year. i am staying within 1km of St. hildas, Poi Ching, and tampines primary.
my hubby wanted to try our luck in 2C balloting for SH, i know the chance of getting in is very slim, plus if we failed in balloting, that means we will lose the chance of getting in PC & TP as well. of course to play safe, we could just register under 2C for PC or TP, since we stayed within 1km, chances of balloting is not very high.
wondering what will you choose given the situation like that. -
What are the schools with vacancy in phase 2CS?
If you can accept having your DD studying in one of those schools, then try your luck at balloting. Else, better play safe and secure a place at either PC or TP.
Once you got into PC or TP, you can always waitlist for an opening in SH. -

i have the same situation as yours on my DD last year registration. Agreed with BigDevil, you better play safe and secure places in either PC or TP. But you never know your luck, you may be the lucky one you got in SH... best of luck to you.hey friends, need some advice.

thanks for the advice, TP is getting popular so there will be no vaccancy in 2CS, that is why if no luck with SH, i got to send her to a school more than 1km from my house. in this case think i had to let go SH, better go PC. in fact i am really wondering, what is so good about SH?

TPS is doing a survey to have student care. For me i’m glad and hopefully it can be done.
