Eventually I will leave the care of my kids to the truly original singaporean childcare teacher. but poor kids will not like… do we ahve to suffer in the hands of these nonsence foreign helpers…??? n yet have to give them so many previledges…
In fact I treated all maids well i had a good maid who worked for me 7 yrs she went to taiwan as she wanted to have a look at taiwan… thereafter all maids are like changing clothes problematic… -

Since she answered in a gentle manner, hopefully she wants to work but din know her ways are intruding to you. Agencies are really at fault. They impose high maid loans, high agency fees and yet only provide one day training to the maids.
MOM knows but chose the easy way out by not regulating them.
Do list down the rules you will like your maid to follow. Let her know she is doing a good job with the housework but following your rules will make you like her more. Hope things work for u. -

so angry she was the 1 who break all my houserules n even sweet talk say will work properly…see still want to give them off day…tooo much nobody look into our welfare… -

One of my maids at the end of 1 day told me that she wanted to go back to the agency bcos she cannot stand the way my mum talk to her! My mum didnt even scold her. After persuading, she agreed to try for one more week. The next early morning, my mum asked if she has taken her bfast. She immediately went to pack her bag insisting that she cannot endure my mum (the way my mum talks to her). She refused to do anything and so sat in one corner of my living room with her packed bag until the agency opens and for me to send her back!
So as employer, we now have to speak nicely and gently to the maids. Faint. -

i think this maid definitely is problem kid. Maybe has a few employers before you le. -
She is new in sin previously b4 she went HK she works in sin b4 tat was years back. She worked in HK for 2 yrs so proud Liao…2mths baCk she oso not happy cos I told her off for her mistake say want to speak to agent but agent ignore when I called them. Till today oso nvr call her don’t bother once they got d agent fee… It’s at amk

Peace, does your agency starts with sxxxxxxxe? My maid from that agency also has attitude problem, somemore she is totally ‘fresh’ maid, never work anywhere as maid before. Suddenly she dropped the bomb yest morning to declare that yest was the last day of her loan and she is not going to work anymore! Before this, around 1 month before, the agent has told her her last day is supposed to be 31 Mar and she did not questioned it, now she suddenly dropped this bomb and when we asked her to talk to the agent, she hanged up the phone immediately and said when she goes back to her country, she wants to get lawyer to sue agent… Haiz…right from the start, she insisted agent never tell her properly, she seemed like victim like dat…sianz…only after another agent talked to her nicely, then she agreed to work till mid apr till our replacement comes…

icemochi, Of course i prefer to chose the ger i tot i could change her thinking by being nice to her and treat her as my sister…but last nite after what my girls told me i think twice i will chose my children’s safety n peace of mind after so many things happen…my girls came n told me that the helper ask them to approach me that she wants to go back to the so-called agent. gues she is not prepared to work in my household and she’s afraid that i might know all d stuff she had done wrongly e.g went out without my notice and spend every day 1-2 hours on the phone, invite friends over(outside my hse), watch tv etc…
mochi, tell u frankly i’m not that kind of ill treating helper’s owner…i make sure she got enough of clothing, rest and food…i make sure my kids do not bully her… n yet time n time again i’m the 1 being bullied… who is there to help me only myself…now i just pray that my girls will grow up strong and able to face d challenging lifestyle which I intend to put them in d childcare…my eldest was not happy but i do not ve a choice…helper only give me problem n headache they do not help AT ALL! Each day i’m getting frustration from the helper…they r cunning n greedy they want more from the employer but do they give NOT AT ALL:((( -

sad for u. the ger u chose probably had a higher expectations of you since she had an Hk employer before.
the agency didnt match you and her probably. She is fine since you are nice but you have to pay for the agency’s mistake.
