I know you love to give me a hard time.
Pei Hwa is known to be academic driven. CHIJ has tests every 10 weeks to make sure girls remember what has been taught and also to know that they cannot talk when there is a test. Among teachers, there will always be black sheep too. My daughter is blessed with a patient and caring FT teacher since P1. My son had a caring one in P1 too. CHIJ has a warm feel among girls bcos it is all girls school. So have I offended any group ?
So politically correct. Win already lor, janet.

Wait, I found a bone in my plate of egg. When you say CHIJ has a warm feel bcos it's all girls school, are you implying that schs like ACS, SJI, RI have cold feel bcos there's no girls?

So now instead of one, you've offended 3 groups of people. Hahaha πŸ˜‰

Nope, I don't think I have offended anyone. But you are on my nerves now :spank:
My son hopes to go to an all boys secondary school. Girls have girly stuff, boys have that cool macho thing. Don't you get it ? :faint:

Not surprising, bcos boys start to take note of opposite sex during their teenage years. My son kept asking me why I didnt register him in all boys primary school. Told him we had no links to any. During my time in school, we always had SJI boys coming over for some event...prefects investiture and some other stuff...cannot understand what it had to do with another school.

How's your dd coping in RG, sista Funx? Or should I say how's RG coping with your dd? πŸ˜‚

Did your dd acquire any drawing interest when she was young? My ds started drawing all these Vincent Van Gogh imitations recently and selling them to me for $1 each. :skeptical:

Funny when I consider that I was prodding him to sign up for art lessons during kindy but he was adamantly not interested then.

                  pepper spice:

Order of the 4 operation - follow the BODMAS rule and you won't get it wrong

                  B Brackets first
O Orders (ie Powers and Square Roots, etc.)
                  DM Division and Multiplication (left-to-right)
                  AS Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)
Divide and Multiply rank equally (and go left to right).
Add and Subtract rank equally (and go left to right)

                  Order of Operations
Do things in Brackets First. Example:

                  6 Γ— (5 + 3) = 6 Γ— 8 = 48
                  6 Γ— (5 + 3) = 30 + 3 = 33 (wrong)

Exponents (Powers, Roots) before Multiply, Divide, Add or Subtract. Example:

                  5 Γ— 22 = 5 Γ— 4 = 20
                  5 Γ— 22 = 102 = 100 (wrong)

Multiply or Divide before you Add or Subtract. Example:

                  2 + 5 Γ— 3 = 2 + 15 = 17
                  2 + 5 Γ— 3 = 7 Γ— 3 = 21 (wrong)

Otherwise just go left to right. Example:

                  30 Γ· 5 Γ— 3 = 6 Γ— 3 = 18
                  30 Γ· 5 Γ— 3 = 30 Γ· 15 = 2 (wrong)

Jennifer, I can sense your frustration. 加油!

Chanced upon this and had it bookmarked to ask DD.
Just to double check if her T has covered it.. :nailbite:
                  Thankfully, DD said yes. πŸ˜‰

Thanks for sharing this (BODMAS Rule), pepper spice. :please:

Like Jennifer, i didn't recall learning this at all or perhaps i didn't
pay that much attention during Math lessons or maybe i already
knew even before the teacher taught it. πŸ˜† Steady orh? :rotflmao:

                  You are welcome πŸ˜‚ .
By the way, I copied the examples from internet (I should have quoted the source - putting a caveat here just in case I get into any trouble for plargiarism.)

Better Keep ALL these $1 a Piece Drawing in the Safe ....
U can Either Make Big Bucks $$$$ when He Becomes Famous in Future,

As to Drawing Interest .... Yeah, My Gal Luv to Doodle, and Draws since Toddle's Age. Even Till Now she'll pick up the iPad and Doodles Cute Little Pics when she's in the Mood.

And Just Like your Boy, She Does not Like Formal Art Lessons Too. Sign up for NAFA Kindy Art for a Year .... And Quit at her own Request πŸ˜‰
