buds:
You are welcome
Chanced upon this and had it bookmarked to ask DD.pepper spice:
Order of the 4 operation - follow the BODMAS rule and you won't get it wrong
B Brackets first
O Orders (ie Powers and Square Roots, etc.)
DM Division and Multiplication (left-to-right)
AS Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)
Divide and Multiply rank equally (and go left to right).
Add and Subtract rank equally (and go left to right)
Order of Operations
Do things in Brackets First. Example:
6 × (5 + 3) = 6 × 8 = 48
6 × (5 + 3) = 30 + 3 = 33 (wrong)
Exponents (Powers, Roots) before Multiply, Divide, Add or Subtract. Example:
5 × 22 = 5 × 4 = 20
5 × 22 = 102 = 100 (wrong)
Multiply or Divide before you Add or Subtract. Example:
2 + 5 × 3 = 2 + 15 = 17
2 + 5 × 3 = 7 × 3 = 21 (wrong)
Otherwise just go left to right. Example:
30 ÷ 5 × 3 = 6 × 3 = 18
30 ÷ 5 × 3 = 30 ÷ 15 = 2 (wrong)
Jennifer, I can sense your frustration. 加油!
Just to double check if her T has covered it.. :nailbite:
Thankfully, DD said yes.
Thanks for sharing this (BODMAS Rule), pepper spice. :please:
Like Jennifer, i didn't recall learning this at all or perhaps i didn't
pay that much attention during Math lessons or maybe i already
knew even before the teacher taught it.
Steady orh? :rotflmao:
.
By the way, I copied the examples from internet (I should have quoted the source - putting a caveat here just in case I get into any trouble for plargiarism.) -

Wah Brota .... U Either Have a Vincent in the Making, Or a Good Marketing Kiddo in the Making!
How's your dd coping in RG, sista Funx? Or should I say how's RG coping with your dd?Funx3:
Ha Ha ....
Brota, U Really Can Pick Bones .... -hor!

Did your dd acquire any drawing interest when she was young? My ds started drawing all these Vincent Van Gogh imitations recently and selling them to me for $1 each. :skeptical:
Funny when I consider that I was prodding him to sign up for art lessons during kindy but he was adamantly not interested then.
Better Keep ALL these $1 a Piece Drawing in the Safe ....
U can Either Make Big Bucks $$$$ when He Becomes Famous in Future,
Or U Could Ransom Him for $100 a Piece when He's ALL Big and Flush with $$$$ .... :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
As to Drawing Interest .... Yeah, My Gal Luv to Doodle, and Draws since Toddle's Age. Even Till Now she'll pick up the iPad and Doodles Cute Little Pics when she's in the Mood.
And Just Like your Boy, She Does not Like Formal Art Lessons Too. Sign up for NAFA Kindy Art for a Year .... And Quit at her own Request

Parents of P5 pupils, kindly please update the briefing here. Many many thanks. -
Hey Jennifer,
I thought you have experience for P6 ? Still attending the briefing ?
Saw some oral tutorial for P6 in April...230pm. It's going to be a mad rush after that session as he has tuition after that. -

Not sure if these are repeated every year. So to make sure I am not going to miss out anything special/new, still better to hear from those who are going to attend this year.

Wanted to print out the Term 2 schedule.
Just kidding you...It's good to attend briefing again, esp since your older boy has left primary school several years ago. -
Anyone managed to print out the calender before the website was down? Need to ask the dates for the exams, oral, composition and main papers for various subjects as I am planning for my leave. Thanks in advance.
