      Thks Bellyhoney,

Went to Xuelin @Bukit Timah Plaza yesterday. You are right, their materials are very impressive and updated. Spoken to both the sec 1 & 3 teachers, seems very passionate and are very knowledgeable. already signed up for my sec 1 son but sec 3 gal, need to arrange for a suitable slot.

Thanks for the comment ๐Ÿ™‚ may I know what is the class size for Xuelin? Because I can't focus much on the class size. Is there 1-1?

Most students face the same problem when reading Chinese. This is basically because of the poor foundation. The passages or readings just do not get through to the readers. So it is suggested to start with easy readings. At the same time, build up your vocab BY CATEGORY. Donโ€™t have to memorise too much in short time. Just 10 words a day will do. It will take some time but you will find yourself more comfortable with reading:D

            Happy reading!

I do not think you need to worry because their class size is very small. The teachers ensure me that they will be able to take care of each and every one of their students. Yet to be seen, but I am very comfortable with them. I also recommend Xuelin to my very super KS friend; she is also signing up for her children. Now she is rearranging the schedule.

For compre, you can look at the questions first, then start reading the passage and highlight the areas you think the answers may lie. Then read it again.

To enjoy reading Chinese books, buy novels on the Chinese dramas you like eg. My Fair Princess ็Žฏ็ ๆ ผๆ ผ by Qiong Yao. ๆญฅๆญฅๆƒŠๅฟƒ should have the novel version as well.

read newspapers, donโ€™t have to be those boring articles, start with those you like! slowly build up with those hongkong/china productions dramas. it really helps!
