As long as you have some document proof showing you once studied in Ai Tong, then your child qualifies for registration in phase 2A. Phase 2A is 99% confirmed entrance to the school, even if you are staying 10km away.
I need some advices here.I was once a student from ai tong, but due to I had move to yishun, then I was transfer out from ai tong when I was pri 3 by my parents as they prefer I study nearby.Question is , if I gonna to enrol my son next time back to ai tong , will there be any difficulties? But I staying in Yishun that maybe difficult as it is outside 2km already? -

Produce your ATS report book and ur child will be in P2A2 and is a 99% can get a place. Even u stay in Pasir Ris also no problem.Hi All,
I need some advices here.I was once a student from ai tong, but due to I had move to yishun, then I was transfer out from ai tong when I was pri 3 by my parents as they prefer I study nearby.Question is , if I gonna to enrol my son next time back to ai tong , will there be any difficulties? But I staying in Yishun that maybe difficult as it is outside 2km already? Another althernative is since I am staying < 1km from Chong Fu, I am considering that option too.
For registration in chong fu,
1) Do I need to take part in PV in order to secure a place since I stay <1km ?
Which phase should I be under ?
2) If I got 2 SHHK memmbers to recommend, do I still require to be a SHHK member ?

Actually, whether got chance or not, it's hard to say.
Thanks, Cherrygal!
So glad to hear that more than 2pm from SJIjr still got chance. Hope it remains so when it's my turn to register.
Looks like St nic is out of the question d. Am not brave enough. Haha.
How about the chances for CHIJ (toapayoh)?
So far, for SJIJ, ballot is for >2km. Unless you want to go through balloting, it's best to stay within 2km of SJIJ.
As for CHIJ TP, I'm not too optimistic. I stay within 1-2km of CHIJ and can register my dd under phase 2B. But I am monitoring it very closely now. Reasons being there may be balloting for within 1-2km when it's time register for my dd.
Last year, 16 applicants from >2km balloted for 1 remaining spot in phase 2B. Just need 2 more applicants from within 2km and 1-2km would be balloted instead. Also, Trevista and the TPY Peak are all within 1 km of CHIJ, so many new families will be moving in soon. It is likely that they may register their girls there since the next nearest popular school, Pei Chun, will be 1-2km from them.
Therefore, while I may like to register my dd in CHIJ, I will have to find a satisfactory backup because if in the event there is balloting within 2km the next few years, I would not want to participate in it. -
If I were you, I choose the old primary sch that i used to attend even I am staying 10-20 km away.
This provided that old primary school becomes a popular school after 20 years. -
Guess i need to start early, my child born in year 2008, start p1 in 2015,
any shhk parents willing to be my referrals? gonna enrol for nan chiau

Believe me, you are not starting early. In fact, you may already be too late!
It is believed that when SHHK issues recommendation letter, one factor they will look at is seniority. If you only join SHHK now, you are only a member of 1.5 years (registration in 2014). I doubt that will be enough....
Good luck! :xedfingers: -
yeah, gonna be tough, new flats coming up in anchorvale

Hi!
Read thru the messages from the past few months and would like to confrm that if we do get the recommendation letter from SHHK for phase 2B, we are still subjected to balloting if dd is more than ss right? And if thats the case, those staying within 1km will be considered first? Im thking of AT but am staying more than 2km away =( -
