Just checked up at the website, it's organised jointly by DS1's school although never hear from him. Seems quite interesting but have to submit through school as only 1 entry per school. Never hear from DS2 school that they have this. May I know which GEP school is having this project as part of their GEP projects ? It will be good if both DSs can help each other since it's like both are doing similar projects covering math.

RIPMWC is this Friday, anyone did any preparations ? Seems like the school didn’t prepare them for it.

Hi, can find out what is the SS oral project? We had completed the family tree, photo journal, n SGEM (group project) draft 1 with draft 2 due this Thurs..he has another SS portfolio which is abt the 3 family rules due next MONDAY! :yikes:So far in GEP I have only five projects, of which three are completed.
1. Social Studies 3D Family Tree
2. Social Studies Oral Project
3. English Photo Journal Project
4. English SGEM Project
5. Math Poster - Group Work (which, by the way, everybody forgot)
I think sci project shd be given out soon since it s due in term 2.. :faint:
I get nightmares abt all these projects liao... Was not sure if I was sleeping or dreaming when I had all those projects info running inside my head...

1. Social Studies 3D Family Tree
2. Social Studies Oral History Project (interview)
3. English Photo Journal Project
4. English ERP Program
5. English Show & Tell - Photo Journal (NEW)
6. English Show & Tell - ERP (NEW)
7. English & Social Studies ID Unit (NEW)
8. Math Poster / Report - Group Work -
Bay:
Oh yes. It's called \"Mathematics around us\"YY1205:
Oh sorry i forgot. It is actually this group work where your group has too analyze a daily problem in Math. It has to concern everyone, be useful and the problem cannot be researched before. You can submit it in poster form or in written form. It is from NUS.
Correct me if I am wrong. I think you are referring to the P4 'Mathematics is around us' competition. It is open to all P4 students, not just GEP. It can be an individual work or a team of not more than 3 members. It can be a written report or a poster. -
Yesterday we had three periods of English. Halfway through the lesson, the teacher said, \"Be mentally prepared...\" What to be prepared for? I wondered.
NEW PROJECTS!
1. Show & Tell - Photo Journal (NEXT week!)
2. Show & Tell - ERP
The third one nearly :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:
3. ID UNIT - Write about someone who lived in Singapore in the 1850s!
Now, how do we do this Engish-Social Studies ID unit? I have no idea. The big problem is the Photo Journal. We only have like 5 DAYS to prepare! -

We finished the photo journal n ERP. They r both submitted. But teacher never say got show n tell leh....But show n tell shd be pretty easy since they have done it before in p1-3 during oral exams.. In fact show n tell is a v good training for kids to do public speaking...
Wats the ID unit thingy? ERP still quite easy ..photo journal can be tricky if teacher didn't give enuf info... Many have to redo.. Cos misunderstood the instruction.. Which I also find it a little confusing... Best part is told Ds to ask teacher, he somehow ask a fren fr another class ! In the end do wrongly ...wasted the effort on the beautiful journal ...
Correct me if I m wrong, maybe instructions r incomplete in a way cos teacher expect child to check with them in order to train them to take more initiative? But most of the time, Ds will tell me no chance to ask much cos today too busy, never see teacher, teacher today teaching some othe topics....blah blah blah... I know my Ds wil ask if he gets a chance. -
