      pinky:
      seems like deliberate action :yikes:

no wonder yesterday evening I saw a guy putting some newspapers on the seat before sitting down..
Good idea, but as long as we check the seat before seating that should be safe enough.. I hope..

This is sick. Why are people doing such things?

I was also thinking why she would just sit on a wet patch, even if it is just water, instead of wiping it off.
        Bitterness, resentment ?

Should not wipe with tissue in case of acid it may burn the fingers, use thick newspaper instead.

Wondering they have camera in the MRT? If not, can catch the culprit who spill this acid onto the seat. So next time, got to bring a newspaper along when I take train. :siao:

              Thanks blessed777 for the link.

The article did not state the time she board the train. It would be very sad reflection on them if other passengers saw the culprit pour liquid on the seat and did not warn her and stop the culprit.

I thought acid will react on plastic seat? It's kind of difficult for me to believe the story

Sulfuric acid exposure can weaken some plastics, but most plastics will not be affected. See the chart in the link. As you will see, degradation of most plastics that even are affected does not happen quickly.

Next time wear waterproof plastic pants on the MRT. :rotflmao:
