Today, I heard from my son that one of his friends who is a GEPER from the NO.1 top primary school told him a secret. There is a patten question in RIPMWC2012, 1 box(don't know how to draw) 2. My son also did not know the box meant what, so just anyhow guessed. But the teacher in that school told all his pupils in this competition that there was a computer printing error only in their school and the box should be printed as '-'. The teacher said that other school's computer all showed '-'. My son said if he knew the box represented '-', the question should be very easy.

So I think this competition is not fair and I don't care the result.
Is your son taking the junior category? Did his school give any guidance on this competition beside the online practice?
My son said most of the questions are very difficult and some looks like it's beyond P6. Even with answers he also unable to understand.
So in the end how many questions did he manage to answer?

My son took open category. His school is a very normal neighborhood school and doesn't prepare anything for it. My son is P6 now. He managed to finish 17 questions and anyhow guessed the rest 3 questions. But my son prepared for it from the beginning of last year. So you can understand my feelings? Some school gave hints to their students in the competition is not fair to other students!
Last year, when my son did the past year papers he also complained very difficult. After one year's practice , he felt much better now. The standard is beyond P6. My son said most questions's standard are as same as AMC10.
But I think we should not put too much effort on this competition. SMOPS is much more fair to every student.

The RIPWMC2012 results is out but how to check the individual perfomance as the website is only for school teacher login http://contests.heymath.com/admin/Admin.page

Q: Do the pupils need their participation codes to login to find out their individual results and
            print certificate?
A: Yes, the students need to login to the contest websites using their Participation Code after 9th
April, 2012, 00:00 MYT to view their results and download/print their certificate.

Anybody can provide the site for students to login to view their results?

Anyway congrates to all students who scores well in this contest.

Hi, I would like to interpret the results if my DS’s results is in the 84 percentile. Is it an ave or above ave score?

Hi, I am also trying to understand. Top 50 gets cert of distinction /high dist; then 51-120 gets cert of credit. Does 84 percentile equate to cert of credit?
