The Clubs that run in the SSS is call SpeediSwim Aquatic Sports Club.

The water is very cold becos its indoor + its all deep water but the coach will take care of that.
As this is a run as a pte club the Programme is different from the spore sport council SwimSafer program and to complete the course it will take 4-5yrs depending on your kids.

Hi to coach and parents who send their children there. I got a few questions to ask.

You mentioned that the water is cold but the coach will take care of that. What does that means?

Is there hot water shower over there?

And what is the difference between the swimming lessons offered at Speediswim and the usual swimsafer courses? Will the usual bronze/silver/gold cert be issued by Speediswim ? (am thinking of exemption from p3 swimming lessons hee hee)\\

There are hot water showers in the shower rooms. and parents also help by bringing flask of hot water or hot drinks for their kiddos after class.


My girl is okay with the cold water.

Generally I find the coaches and lessons at the sport school tougher. My god daughter who got her bronze medal from her swimming classes before she entered speediswim, was only allowed to be at stage 2 in speediswim.
My girl who can swim the breast stroke, free style, back stroke and is now slowly learn to do the butterfly isn't qualified to take the test for bronze medal, by speediswim standards.

I am happy with her progress and will likely keep my girl in there. Hope this helps .

SpeediSwim do offers Swimsafer programme but only during the School Holiday in which they will engage people like us to teach/test their students.

if you want your kids to swim dam good then send him/her to this kind of school becos its purely swimming with drills, drills, drills ...............to competition level
but the diff bet the 2 is no survival skill is taught in speedi programme so no matter how good a swimmer you re if you face a life threatening situation you may not be able to know what to do & survive
Thats why is call swimsafer
so parents is up to you & maybe kiasu parents can send them to both..hehe..
Maybe next holiday i can offer an intensive class for anyone who wants to take the B,S or G :imcool:

Hi bbc,
SS4 is tested every 6mths but Im not sure of the test date now as Im no longer teaching there.

Its best to check with the admin staff there so at least you are aware of it.
