S'poreans to get priority for P1 places during balloting

I've been reading some of these posts with sadness. When have we become so intolerant of foreigners in our multi-racial country? Impure Singaporeans?
Cannot wrap my head around what I am reading here. Are we becoming so prejudiced.phtthp:
for next change of rules, suggest MOE tighten up loop holes:-
a) fine tune definition on the word, \"absolute Priority\".
it should truly reflect \"absolute priority for All pure SC - throughout the Entire P1 Registration process\", NOT just some
miserable \"absolute priority of SC over PR - within each phase\" only.
ie. Phase 1 to 2C reserved solely to admit pure SC kids.
by right, this word \"absolute\" should not be used loosely.
Then create a new phase called \"2D\" - admit next round of impure SC and PR kids, fill up remaining vacancies (if any).
definition:-
impure SC kids - are those with only one PR parent converted to SC, not both.
PR kids - are those with two PR parents.

b) for popular, branded schools - whole family (Father, Mother and child) to convert to SC.
Abolish \"half PR, half SC\" parents to give their PR child SC status so easily.
Right now, this group of impure SC come in readily compete direct head on with us, pure SC parents. There are many PRs even if one of the spouse is SC. This is not absolute priority given to us, pure SC.

Wanna go by degree of purity? Were your ancestors here when Raffles landed? Were they here during the war?

Disbelieve, appalled, sadness, disgust, embarrassment. These are the myriad of feelings I get reading some of these posts.
"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"?
"Four legs good, two legs better!"?
I think we are above that. At least I hope we are. -

If you child cannot get into the school you desire see whether you can tolerate or intolerate.

If my child cannot get into the school I want, I wouldn't say it was because of PRs/foreigners alone. Maybe it was because my child does not have a sibling in the school currently/previously; I am not an alumni; I didn't sit on the school board; I did not PV; I did not live within 1km or I simply did not have the luck in ballot?
Who is to say our children will sure get the school we want with the removal of PRs/foreigners from the ballot pool?
Please don't blame everything that not going our way on PRs/foreigners. -

Why blame PRs or converted SCs? Why not blame your parents for not putting you in the school of your choice so that you can jump ahead of the pack. Why not blame your grandparents for not putting your parents in the school of your choice? Why not blame yourself for not being a staff of the school which can again give you priority.
My DS did not get into the school or rather schools of my choice. I don't blame anyone for that. I tried the various avenues available and it did not pan out. No one's fault, but I tried. Am still trying. -
I fail to understand why there is a new category of Singaporeans - PURE SCs  isn't this out to differentiate and drive a wedge ? Sorry if I misunderstood.
