From your experience so far, how do you find the teachers' engagement level with the parents? -
Hi,
I have heard mothers talking that the teachers are good. But of course it really depends on the class and how the teacher can handle. I know that MOE sends officers to conduct model test to see how is the child’s understand the concept and teachers teaching.
All i know that the Principal is caring and really does his duty. He will try to do his best. Think is the former princial from Nan Chiao.

What is BASC?Check this out - RGS has 250 replies and >14k views & I am here \"talking\" to myself only in this thread? Perhaps this is a SIGN that Endeavour parents are less kiasu? <HURRAYS>
One more try - can any one tell me if Endeavour has after school care programme or any nearby good BASC to recommend?
My friend's DD is in this school. Can check for you. :celebrate: -
Dear all,
I have received the pri 1 booklist for my son yesterday. Is it all the items are necessary ? Kindly enlighten me.
Tentatively my son is in class 1G as stated in the letter.
Also, there’s a seminar for the parents in Dec.
Looking forward to the seminar.
Cheers,

Thanks all.in.one - BASC = Before/After School Care - settled in my kid’s case & so nice of you to offer help

Shirley, I have just received the Orientation details letter from the school as well. I must say that I am impressed - very organised information & excellent uniform and book purchase arrangement (which states clearly the different purchase options and dates) !
Little thoughtful stuffs here and there too
1. allows internet pre-ordering & arrange same day collection together with uniforms - fantastic!
2. arranges a separate 2nd orientation day specifically daily routines familiarization so that you do nt have to rush on the 1st orientation which focus on admin stuffs
3. arranges separate talk for parents by external speaker on "preparing your child for primary 1"
That’s a GOOD START !
Letter also stated that there’s a "language assessment of pupils conducted by the teachers". Like the transparency! -

Tried ordering online with Pacific Bookstores and realised that Endeavour was not listed as one of the schools in their website yet. Called Pacific and Was told that I have to wait till coming Monday (Nov 16) before I can order via web.Dear all,

I will be ordering all except the Malay and optional stationery set as textbook list looks pretty essential and basic which is good.
Will give the seminar a miss
PS: Their moral education is in Chinese (based on text list) - good! -
Went to school to purchase uniforms today. Pretty chaotic and inefficient purchase situation … was told that this is the case for all other schools? Gosh & you would have thought that process would have been sort out after so many years?
Think school/operator would have done a much better job by
1. Put up signs to direct parents to the purchase area.
2. Segregate the uniform purchase to 3 sections to allow queue movement and reduce confusion.
(a) Size trying area (b) Payment area
Collect area
Again, clear signs directing the crowd from (a) to (b) to
By the way, for those of you that are going on another days, pls remember to pay and collect for your kid’s name label ($5). Queue also not obvious.
Eventually I bought 2 sets of uniforms, PE-attire, a pair of shoes and 3 pairs of socks. The uniform’s material is thicker than I thought which will require ironing - looks like I probably have to get another extra set. Overall uniform design looks very smart, esp for the girls’ sailor flap around the shoulder. Shoes and socks are black which is a fantastic practical choice for kids! I can still recall the nightmarish days of having to polish for my own white shoes during my times and constantly being nagged for getting them dirty! -
Any idea whether is it compulsory to purchase the shoes in the school? Can purchase the shoes from outside?
