= Maid Loan can be pay by credit card instalments without adding extra payment.
= Unlimited free replacement.

-Maid Loan can be paid by credit card with interest free instalment
- Unlimited free replacement (Of course safety course & insurance have to bear)

Maybe time to visit Katong SC, Bt Timah SC & Hougang Green!

My maid is going on home leave She'll be back after 2 weeks. Agency advised us to get her to keep 2 months pay with us, in case she does not come back, we'll use that money to get a new maid. Anyway, I trust she'll come back as she needs the money to send her son to private school. After being with us, she become so KS also. Want to send her son to the best school too.

If you check the MOM website, it is against the rule to detain your maid's salary. Last time, we can keep about $500 of maid's salary in case she runs away. But there is this new regulation since last year that we have no right to detain their money. So please make sure your maid is agreeable to it or she might just turn the table on you and report to MOM. Just my thoughts in sharing

It's not 'detain'. I've checked with MOM & agency on the best way to go about this.

She signed an agreement that the money will be kept in our joint bank account until she returns. Stated clearly in the agreement that if she fails to come back by our stipulated date, I'm free to use the money in our joint account to pay for expenses for hiring a new maid.

I managed to find a maid agency which is $0 agent fee, but they only have philippines maids.

It is \"ACTIVE CONSULTANCY SERVICES\".

I do not know her personally, but recommended by some friends. I am also not sure how is their service, but you can try to call to find out more. Nikki is the lady boss & she is a filipino. I have not met up with her before, but spoken to her.

However, I have not got a maid from her before. When I called to interview a filipino maid, she bargained off days, which I cannot commit to give her. So I can only think of getting Indonesian maids.

I think in general you need to give sundays off and handphone for filipino maids. If not, they will show black face and make things difficult. My previous filipino maid drank beer in the house after the 2nd year. She cook and talk on the phone at the same time. The food was burnt. We still had to pretend we don’t mind. sigh! She tells me all ang mo employer treat their maids very well and gives them plenty of freedom.
I didn’t want to get a filipino maid after that. When you demand for things, you need to show that you deserve it. Just like if we demand for a promotion, you need to justify to your boss why you deserve a promotion.

I now stick to Myanmar maids. Although not that fantastic but still better than filipino.

I agree with you. Filipino maids generally want more freedom & demand alot. Once they get to know friends in Singapore, they will compare wih what they do, work or how their employers treat them. For my past 3 maids, including current, are all Indonesian.

I will stick back to Indonesian maids, but I think its quite hard to get someone who is willing to work long term.

Do you have any recommendation on Indonesian maid agencies?
