Ah..you mean your friends signed their children up for the childcare (not enrichment class) right? did they say why they didn't like it? Was it the environment, the teachers or the curriculum? Most of my frens who went there didnt like it.
The teacher kept calling me for months to convince me to send my kid there. WHen I told them the fee is at the high side, she asked me to consider their other outlet which i think its not pro to do so. They gave me an impression of wanting to earn $$ than wanting to fulfill parent's needs.
Months later again, the same teacher called me and ask me to consider their chinese enrichment class since I was no longer keen in their CC.
thanks so much for your feedback! -
They wanted to send their kids to their CC but some couldnt stand the way the principal speak. LOL
I also feel the same as the principal kept claiming they are the best, very bi-lingual and NOT the same as others. For me, find it kind of boastful lor.
As for their enrichment, I didnt enrol because the teacher who explained to me the curriculum speak with an accent. I couldnt understand. I was told their enrichment class not always full house. There was one class with only 1 student.
You may want to go and see/feel for yourself since each parent’s expectation is different. -
Hi Parents,
I would like to hear feedback from parents who had sent their kids to Yuquan Preschool. I am interested to send my kid for their full day program as she is rather slow in her Chinese language progress. I heard that Yuquan Preschool exposes the chidren with 50% Mandarin and 50% English in their program. Other than academic, does the school also develop the child in other aspects like behaviour, food & nutrition, etc? Do you feel that your kid is benefiting from the fees you are paying? -
Juz pulled my son out from the cc. If you are looking at gearing up for Chinese, up to a certain extent , yes it does lay the foundation quite well. Not fantastic but enough. If you are looking for extra, probably it would not meet that requirement.
I was very impressed 2 years ago thus put my son there which happens to be near my workplace. -
Hi Chiclil,
thx for yr reply.
Why did u pull yr son fm the cc? any negative experience with the cc?
The principal sounds so confident with her system, wonder whether they can reli deliver those promises. -
Marvelous
I like the supervisor who was able to instill discipline in the kids and am very impressed by her.
I have doubt in their curriculum that is why I pulled him out. -
Hi Chiclil,
Which part of their curriculum did you have doubts about? You mentioned that their Chinese curriculum was good or at least above average right, so are you referrring to their English/Maths/other subjects??
Am curious 'cos am trying to decide between YQ and another school... :evil:chiclil:

My son attending Yuquan since he is 20 month old and now is in his last year K2. The school teacher are very experience and the staff turn over also is low. The English and Chinese teacher that started teaching Since my boy is in PG is still teaching there.
The school cleaniness is good, with very low sick rate and kids are all very happy to go school. The school also has a good mix of culture with indian and malay and chinese teacher. The students r mostly chinese with a few ang mo and eurasian kids.
In general, i am happy with the school. -
Hi,
Is yr child at middle road or guillemard ? -
Hi mummies those who have children at Yuquan, do yo umind sharing your views on this preschool? My child is going to start her PG this July. I would like to hear your views on the preschool’s curriculum whether the children there can ebnefit from their system of 50% Eng and 50% Chn?
Do you think that the K2 preparation is sufficient for P1?
What is the handling ways in terms for discipline and manners at the school applied by the teachers?
Hope to hear your views soon ya:) Thank you in advance.
