For a Phase 3 student, the most desirable schools may no longer be available. What’s the story with Eunos? Good? Not Good? What holds it back from being considered with the first tier schools?

My husband and I are a little confused about whether it is necessary to join as alumni of our old primary schools. If we join, we are in Phase 2A1 and if we dont’, we will be in Phase 2A2. From what I’ve read, it seems like as long as you are in Phase 2A, you are almost confirmed to get into the school. So why spend the money to join as alumni?

Have heard that if the kid doesnt get into the school of choice by Phase 2C, MOE will allocate the kid to a school near to where we are staying and we are not able to choose anymore? Or was is Phase 2C Sup?

nope 2C supplementary is for those who failed to secure a place in 2C. After this, MOE will allocate based on distance to schools that still have vacancies.

I personally don't think it matters if you join/not cos it's practically case closed, can get in - just a matter of which day you need to go down to register. But then, it's really up to individual preference. I've not heard of any schools that ran out of places after 2A1....

If you fail to secure a place for your child in P2CSupp, MOE will give you some time to find another school for your child. If you don't do anything or if you fail to find another school on your own by the time the deadline comes around, MOE will then assign a school for your child, generally based on distance from your home/registered address.

I read that under phase 2B(PV) that distance from school matters if demand exceeds lots available. How about 2A2? Can you be staff member of the secondary school, affliated to the school of choice?
