      It is band 2, 75 marks & above. Not top 80 students.

      As to one yr in & another yr out, this one need to ask teacher.
      Everyone who gets more than 75 marks get selected? Then why my daughter didn bring back any letters?

        This 75 marks thing is what my girl told me. I also didn’t receive any letter after 1 yr of taking HMT. It is only through teacher telling her classmates who got 70 - 75 to go back normal class when they turn up at beg of yr.

        Besides going to banding class for maths, they also go respective class for normal or HMT.

        I think for first time, parents indicate on form whether to allow or not since it is in the morning extra lesson once a week (outside curriculum time and need transport arrangement). Subsequently in P3, it is auto in if your child has 75 marks & above.

          Ms DD is in normal chinese in P2. For SA2 she got 80 marks for her chinese. But because the teacher knows that she is rather weak in her chinese, she was not recommended for higher chinese.

            This is my understanding.
            For P1->P2 top 80 in CL
            For P2->P3 top 80 in CL
            For P3->P4 top 80 in CL
            For P4->P5 B2 or 75 in CL
            For P5->P6 B2 or 75 in CL

                  Does MOE publish the number of students get into GEP for all schools?

                    Anyway we have decided not to sign her up. That's simply too much hassle! The letter has to be returned by today.

                    When come to her P3 AM seesion, the HCL lessons are conducted after the normal school hour. By then I don't mind letting her attend if she can make the cut because there will school bus service available at 4pm.

                      Oic, so luckily we didnt get the letter else it would be a dilemma too as we are working parents as well 🙂

                      Yeah, at least P3 has afternoon school bus..
