        Of the 44 men

        20 - 29yo == 10
        30 - 39yo == 29
        40 - 49yo == 5

        So it seems like the biggest group are between 30 - 39yo.........

        Men in this age group will have daughters around upp pri school. This is the age group these men would have been married around 5-8 years. So an 18 year old is thrilling.
        Need to educate daughters and sons about this and to love and respect their bodies.

        one counsellor mentioned that there is an increasing trend of young girls using their bodies to buy branded stuff. They 'exchange' their bodies for branded gifts with their BF. :yikes: I think another option is to sell their bodies commercially.

          Wrong values. Too materialistic!
          Was there a case of a boy who sold his kidney for iphone? Somewhat similar -girls sold their bodies

          Something must have gone wrong during growing years for such kids. Parents' failure in upbringing, peer pressure for branded stuff, many many contributing factors

            these obsession with branded stuff is prevalent in all society. Girls as young as 13 in HK sell their bodies to buy them and so did many teenage girls in Japan, Taiwan etc.

              while this case was receiving so much attention, there was another similiar one but the underaged girl was a Vietnamese on social visit pass. The pimp was a local guy whose Viet wife and her sister and brother were responsible for recruiting the young girls from Vietnam to ply their trade here. The pimp and the wife’s sister are sentenced to jail but the wife escaped with her young daughter probably to Vietnam and the brother is still at large. Some of her clients have been charged also.

                The RVHS teacher entered into a commercial arrangement for sex... and very likely he had NO IDEA that she was underaged. Come on... if property developers can sell apartments to naive young couples by misrepresenting brochures and showflats, you think a pimp will be concerned about declaring that one of his most popular girls is underaged?
                I agreed. That's why I asked the earlier question whether patrons are well aware she is under aged. A case of misrepresentation by pimp?
                But in the eye of law, patrons should have verified her age 1st.

                I seriously doubt these men are pedophiles?
                I feel that media should not publicly shamed them by giving such high profile reporting. It's their social standing and occupations that are causing so much attention & perhaps news worthiness.

                Pedophiles are definitely unforgivable though. Those are the ones who deserved to be publicly shamed !

                  I cannot understand what went on in this girl’s head to do what she did. What was she thinking? So many men in one day, and over a short period of time.

                  How did she prepare herself mentally? Did she feel abused? Did she block it out? Did she hate herself? Did she hate her customers? Did she like the stuff she bought in exchange for degrading herself? Cannot imagine carrying a branded bag earned through such means with pride.

                  Could it be a power thing? Did she feel strong to have all the men lusting after her and in her control?

                  After this episode, I hope she could move on and be at peace with herself.

                        Was having a discussion with dh this morning on this case.

                        His view is that this is a reflection of our failed education system. How many a times have we asked/ urged our offsprings to work hard so that they can have a brighter future (= earn more money so they can have a good life). The whole system probably made one too materialistic and hence fall to such easy money temptations???
