I think FAQ has finished teaching his son the whole of P2 work. Does that mean his son is now being taught Sec 1 stuff ?

My daughter is a late bloomer...if she can recall what was taught, I am very relieved. I am revising with her what teacher has taught. No more than that...not possible at all.

Yes, be prepared to teach ahead. If you plan to wait till P6 to teach, it's too late.

Each child is unique. Some have a larger capacity, some do not.

Let's not sweat it out unnecessarily. Most imptly, we need to instil the innate motivation to learn independently.

Yes, every child is diff. What you can ask one to do doesn’t mean you repeat with another. This ‘cut and paste’ method is not applicable for kids.

For my older one, I can get him to do xx number of pages of vocab and grammar but if younger one is willing to get grammar done, that is an achievement. Anything more, she will protest.

Any tips on how best to do that?

I believe we can start small by letting the child takes on more responsibility at home, handing sch work, etc.

It also depends on the child. Some mature earlier, some later. My 2 boys are living examples.

My goodness! There're about 100 winners for Platinum award alone. :yikes:

Which tells me that one must be almost perfect if one wishes to use MO for DSA. 😓

Btw any P2 & 3 parents going for the school talk on CCA/streaming this Sat morning?
