History study in secondary school

Anybody can help me to have a better understanding of history study in Sec.2?
My son is very poor in history (GPA 2), I hope to assist him, but my son has no textbook only the worksheets from the teacher, I have no picture of what the main topic will be covered in Secondary school, -

Why not call to your son school and ask for the name of textbook?
You may excuse a teacher that your son preferred in use of visual and auditory development, like a colourful textbook, and he might have a better score in future.
Alternatively, you read History worksheets at first and go to popular and find the textbook yourself.
I guess, the textbook may be for lower secondary.
