          Sorry to disturb....need your help on the following questions.

          Thank U.

          1) Mark's current age is 1/4 of Ronald's. In 24 years' time, Ronald's age will be 14 years less than twice Mark's age. What is Ronald's age now?

          2) Hakim and Suresh had some money in the ratio of 13:8. When they each gave away $133, Hakim will have 4 times as much money as Suresh.
          How much did Hakim had at first?

            Hi

            You may use MD or work using units.

            Mark's age ----- 1 unit
            Ronald's age ----- 4 units

            In 24 years' time

            Ronald's age ------ 4 units + 24
            Mark's age ------ 1 unit + 24

            4 units + 24 ----- (2 units + 48) - 14
            1 unit ----- 5

            Now, Ronald's age ----- (4*5) ------ 20

            Best wishes

              Hi

              Q2.. when same quantity is added or removed, the difference will remain the same...

              http://i50.tinypic.com/2vwa1dj.png\">

              At first, Hakim : Suresh --> 13 : 8 --> 39u : 24u (difference 15u)
              In the end, Hakim : Suresh --> 4 : 1 --> 20u : 5u (difference 15u)

              So, 19u --> $133, 1u --> 7

              39 x 7 = 273

              Hakim had $273 at first.

              cheers.

                    Please help me how to solve this Area of Triangle Math.

                    The figure below is not drawn to scale. ADF is a triangle and BC = CD. Find the area of triangle ADF. (See Attached)

                    http://i48.tinypic.com/t688sm.jpg\"> Hi,

                    The answer is 18 cm square. But I don't understand how it was derive. Please help me. Thank you very much.

                    Is there anywhere I could learn Area of Triangle, find it very confusing as I not sure where is the base and height for example in this case. Thanks again.
