GEP and DSA 2012

yes I also have the impression that only GEP students who score more than 80% does not require GAT.

Hi jtoh,
Really? It doesn't say in their website. This is taken from the RGS website:
Students from Primary Gifted Education Programme who scored:
80% (overall grade) or higher in their Primary 6 SA1 school result
may be exempted from the General Ability Test.
All other students are required to sit for the GAT.
Your info is correct.
All mainstream students, especially those applying to RI and RGS, have to sit for GAT.
DD's results in P5 & 6 were consistently in the high 80s and 90s, but she was still required to sit for GAT.
However, my neighbour's DD skipped GAT for NYGH cos she received a letter inviting her to try out for their DSA. -

[quote=\"mamona\"]Thanks for your reply. I wanted my dd to prepare the portfolio after the SA1 and only when we are certian that she is elligible. But all her classmates are already ready to submit so I was concerned that whether I am delaying......
My dd will apply for RGS DSA though they do not have any min marks requirement but still I want to wait for the SA1 result as my dd doesn't have many achievement other than ICAS \"High Distinction\" & \"Distinction\" certificates and her school marks. May be chances are quite less for her but still I want her to apply.

I only submitted DD's application one week before the closing date...
Cos Mummy here was procrastinating.
DD did not have outstanding achievements either, unlike those with MO distinctions or platinum.
Guess what matters more is how your DD performs in the tests and interview. -
MummySTay:
Did she get a gold or platinum for SMOPS?

No, no achievements in MO.
Her forte is in the performing arts.
Has a Distinction in Diploma in the instrument that she plays. -
