I think it depends on the candidates and maybe the year?. My friends' daughters who were strong academically (as in top in their respective primary schools) didn't get through GAT a few years ago.mamona:

Sorry I digress a little. Do the kids have to wear their school uniform to the open houses this Saturday? My dd says yes, but I want to make sure so she doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

No need. Just go in whatever you're comfortable in. Actually one year I saw some kids attending Open House in their prefect uniforms with all sorts of leadership badges and my first thought was - 'Who are they trying to impress?' Wrong signal, if you know what I mean. -
