              Hi,

Can someone advise on the S&T questions?

              1. "Ahmad, have you brought the robot we built yesterday?" Ryan asked.
Ans : Ryan asked Ahmad if he had brought the robot they (had) built the previous day.

Is it necessary to include ‘had’ after ‘built’ ?

              2. Ravi will not be able to go swimming. It is still raining.
Ans: Ravi will not be able to go swimming unless it stops raining.

              Is the following form acceptable?

Ravi will be able to go swimming unless it is still raining.

              Kindly advise. Thank you.

                Punctuation Q.

"It’s your fault, Joseph! You have a habit of pressing the snooze button every time (14) Joel lamented, resenting the fact that he had to share the alarm clock with his brother. Answer is [,"]

I have not learnt this during my school days and I simply don’t understand why it is not [."].

Can anyone explains why we use the above?

                Thank you very much.

                  Punctuation Q.

\"It's your fault, Joseph! You have a habit of pressing the snooze button every time (14) Joel lamented, resenting the fact that he had to share the alarm clock with his brother. Answer is [,\"]

                  Thank you very much.
[,\"] is the correct answer for the question above. This is because the direct speech is followed by the phrase 'she lamented'.

For example, you can compare and contrast the following:

                  1) \"We are going to school now,\" said Lily.
                  2) Lily said, \"We are going to school now.\"

The second sentence is ended by [.\"] as nothing comes after the direct speech.

                  Hope this helps.

To make it simple, actually it haven' t finished the whole sentence yet, example like the sentence the tutor gave!

                        Which is correct?

                        1) My parents gave my sister and me a handsome reward.

                        2) My parents gave my sister and I a handsome reward.

Answer provided : (1) is correct. Is this how it’s interpreted?
My parents gave my sister a handsome reward.
My parents gave me a handsome reward.
==> hence, the answer is "My parents gave my sister and me a handsome reward"?

                        Thanks.
