\"Each piece cut from Rope Q was 2/5 longer than each piece cut from Rope P\", 2/5 is fraction or refer to 2/5 m?
If it refer to the fraction, then should be 2*(1+2/5)=2.8m

It should be 2/5 (fraction) not 2.5m

2.8 m is the correct answer.

3 cleaners => 2/9 h
1 cleaner => 2/9 h x 3 = 2/3 h
5 cleaners => 2/3 ÷ 5 = 2/15 h

Hi, i don't get it why was that 1 cleaner is 2/9h x 3 and not 2/9h divided by 3? (sry couldn't find the division sign on iPad.)

3) Find the height of a triangle given that its area is 48cm2 and its base is 12 cm.

4) A ball of yam 6/10m is cut into 3 pieces of the same length. What is the length of each piece? Is the ans 1/5?

5) At a train station, 3/4 of the commuters were men and the rest were women and children. The number of children was 1/3 the number of women. There were 150 women. How many men were there?

6) There were a total of 198 vehicles in a three-storey car park. An hour later, 34 more vehicles were parked on the first storey of the car park and half of the vehicles on the second storey left. Then, there were an equal number of vehicles on each of the three storeys. A) How many vehicles were there on the third storey? B) How many more cars were there on the second storey than on the first storey at first?

2) May and Tom had an equal number of sweets. Each day, May ate 12 sweets and Tom ate 6 more than her. When Tom had 24 sweets left, May had 96 sweets
left. How many sweets did each of them have at first?

3) Ray and Tim had the same amount of pocket money. Each day, Ray spent $4 and Tim spent $6. When Tim had $12 left, Ray had 4 times as much money left as Tim. How much was each boy’s pocket money at first?

6/8 Devi = 6/9 Ella
Devi --> 8 units
Ella --> 9 units
Devi's bookmarks --> 8/(8+9) x 85 = 40

So, number of boxes left --> 4 units
Total number of boxes --> 4 units x 3 = 12 units
12 units - 5 units = 7 units --> 35 boxes
1 unit --> 5 boxes
Total number of boxes --> 12 x 5 = 60

If it is 2/5 m longer, then the original answer is correct.

2/5 ----- 0.4

0.4*3 ------ 1.2

2 + 1.2 ------ 3.2

Rope Q ------ 3.2m
