Sighzzz… Talk about blur. I didn’t even know dd has to take CL sa1 until abt a week ago. All along I thot it was just the HCL, until dd casually mentioned that she had CL too.

I remember quite some time ago dd’s teacher gave them some mock CL and HCL papers to do. Amazingly, dd did WORSE for CL. Now, I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that she’ll do OK for today’s papers.

        Hi 8228,

For DSA, submit p4 and p5 overall yr end results of EL,HCL,Maths and Sci. For p6 result, u submit them ct1+sa1 results of EL, CL, Maths and Sci. These results will be given in the p6 geppers report book.

Do the overall year end results include Social Studies? I was just looking through dd's P4 & P5 result slips and the aggregate is out of a total of 500 (not 400).

Since the kids only took HCL during CA, how do they compute the CL for the SA result?

DD’s school mentioned that it is very common for the GEPpers to take GAT when they apply through DSA. Just like to check with parents whose child had gone through it, whether the SA paper will be a killer paper too?

😓 :nailbite: how many percent of GE students fall below 80% P6 SA (4 subjects) in the past?
Good luck to the p6 geppers. Make sure they study hard for the normal Chinese which will be used to compute the ave of the four subjects.

You mean they won't use HCL at all ?

I think HCL is important if you're applying to school like HCI. For example if both kids get the same marks for their mid-year, one has HCL the other don't, the one with HCL will have advantage over the other.
That is for PSLE central posting. But for GEP result it has always been based on HCL only as they have no item as CL in their report books. It seems like for this first half result it is going to be like PSLE liao. Can Piggylalala and Vim confirm this?

For cl, they only take sa1 result unlike the other 3 subjects are ct1+ sa1

Thanks vlim for clarifying as I realised that most kids tend to underperform in their CL than HCL.
