2012 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Surprisingly, my DS sa1 starts only on next Wednesday. The school follows the psle format. That is paper 1&2 for English and MT will be done on the same day.
DS has not been given much homework lately and he has been lax. I would rather the teachers load him with homework as is so difficult to get him to do revision even he has time! -

Everyone is talking about SA1. My boy did his Chinese & English compo this week. Next week is Chinese & English papers. Math & Science will be the following week. It seem like most schools will finish earlier than his school.
It's SA1 madness now
Son finished both EL/CL compo and Eng paper 2 today. Next week, Math/CL and then Science. Papers will be returned for checking next Thur. -
My ds will also be sitting for his English P1&2 next Wednesday, Maths on Thursday, MT P1&2 on Friday. Ending with Science on following Monday and HMT on Tuesday! Long exam battle for him (and us too)!

My dds SA1 would have ended earlier if nt for the holiday on monday, Just HMT and Maths next week. Then its over for now. Im nt as stressed as last year cos I just want to gauge her performance as i left her to study independently and want to see how she perform with the help of enrichment centres and her schools homework, anyway the exams are not as hard as last years P5 SA2 so I hope to see some improvement.
I plan to give her hell after her results are out and give her tution on subjects shes weak in, no choice, gt to start preparing her for the big day. -

My son's tuition goes on as per normal after SA1. Sessions are all paid on 1st lesson and there is no way I can reschedule. This morn, my son asked for time off after SA even before they have ended :mad:

Oops ! I intend to bring DD for a show and some shopping after her SA1 exams next thursday just to let her take her mind off , re-charge and chiong again. Don't :torchme: I guess maybe more for myself :rotflmao:

His tuition sessions are fixed. As such, I cannot reschedule.
I plan to go easy next weekend. Burnt out since CA1...find a chance to soak in some fun on Mother's Day
