Hi mummies
I’m considering trying out Rebecca from Noah’s ark. Does anyone have feedback on her?
Any other home based speech therapist to recommend for a 2-3 year old?
Thanks! -
Hi
Can I know which speech therapist (besides Michelle) at leapfrogs is good?
Thanks! -
Hi Parents and EL Tutors
My P4 boy is a well-behaved boy and is in one of top 2 classes in his cohort. His academic results are amongst top 3% of his yearly school overall results.
However, we could barely understand him when he talks. He has anxiety problems and stutters very badly and has very poor pronunciation and diction.
I have enquired about speech therapy sessions at local hospitals but we can’t bring him for frequent sessions as we are both working. It is best that my boy stays at home studying and have a tutor or speech trainer coaching him at home. It is also not ideal for us if he attends speech & drama classes.
Do you have any good contact to recommend? Let me know the duration, frequency and fee to pay. Thanks. -

Dear parents,
My youngest girl (2yrs 7 mths) was diagnosed with GDD (global development delay) and I have started seeing OT, PT quite regularly at KKH more than 1/2 yr ago.
As there are not enough ST @ KKH, they actually organised a Hanen program for parents to attend & hope that parents can self help their kids back home. Subsequently will see them for follow up sessions. Personally I dont find this useful at all…
Right now I am looking for a private one. A mother recommended me to try out Dynamic,Deb, at Forum. Charges there is not as expensive as I expect. Assessment $170 and $150 per hr for each follow up. I had read some of the previous post @ this site and realized that Leapfrog is quite popular. I called them up and Michelle is no longer seeing patients personally, at most she will sit in for the assessment session only.
I would really like to seek some advise before committing on either one. As you all know, it is a long time commitment which is not going to be cheap.
Pls kindly give me some advise if possible. Thanks in advance! -
Hi!
My gal had some speech clarity issues and were assessed by Michelle. Subsequently, was assigned to another speech therapist. Michelle is good but she doesn’t take in patients. Think she owns the place . As for the therapist, find her rather soft. My gal attended the sessions for 8 mths…some improvements initially but became stagnant . Currently, attending sessions at ISSW. The therapist seems more confident and assuring …as she has just started the session…shall wait and see. -
Hi Mykono
Thanks for your sharing. Yes Michelle is the owner and guess she has to take care of many mgt issues and thus no time for individual lessons. Can I ask who u are seeing at her place? Do they advise u what to do back home? I find that if there is no guidance on how we parents can practice, the kid won’t progress much by going there once a week.
Can I ask how old is your child and since when she started talking? I can’t wait for my gal to call me. The only word she says is YES and also not that accurate… Worry worry…
