      Pris.tang:
IF the teacher is willing to sit down with her and teach her one on her because she miss out so many lessons or even provide papers and worksheets for her to do at home i will not be so angry.

My DD teacher is 1 kind boh chup bo hiew one haiz even if she do not do well we will not scold her e just want to at least have her try for it.

I am thankful my DS teachers have been angels of kindness they coach him one on one give him prep talks they have been wonderful.
Wow, your ds teachers are very devoted. This is really rare.

I don't have the expectation that teachers would sit down to coach 1 to 1. Yet to come across such devoted teachers, not even one. Normally we're on our own, so I've very minimum expectation.

I never scold my dd over grades. She's a perfectionist & can be overly sensitive so I refrain from making any comments. My dh always said I 怕女儿 😓 Not 怕 la, I just don't want her to be upset if she's not satisfied with her grades.

Yea last yr Pri4 teacher even brought those who did well to mind cafe and spend a bomb there lol. This yr teacher will coach him will prep him and i can call her on her mobile to discuss strategy to deal with my ds lol.

if all teachers like his teachers i will be happy le haha. So to me there's no such thing as good school or not la is the TEACHERS who determined the school.

Because i have seen both kind of teachers the very dedicated kind like what DS been having and the kuku kind that DD is always having haha.

If your daughter is perfectionist kind then is best you talk to her first see what she wants.

I fully agree, Pris. I can never over emphasize that it's the people.. the teachers who make the school.. and in so will determine if they can make the school good or not so good.

Likewise for us. We have the teachers' mobile numbers and we text one another when not sure if other party is convenient to reply and we do call directly if it's lunch time or after office hours. Other times, I just sms or leave msg with admin for them to call me back just like other parents.

The teachers do offer one to one before school starts (my DDs take sch bus so the earliest to arrive) should they require any additional coaching due to some doubts or lack of understanding on the topics tt hv bn covered. Other general questions tt can be done as a class so tt everyone can recap will be done during curriculum hrs or supplementary lessons aft sch.

The worst kinds of teachers are not just the bo chaps.

They are the no shows.
Or like the cookie slogan types..
Now you see it, now you don't. Sigh.

Relief teachers sometime have sometimes don't have.. Worst is when they combine with other classes, sit on the floor whole day.. get to do nothing ) cos teacher didn't hand over any work).. and get the stepchildren treatment from the other class teacher who usually is quite fed-up that her colleague put her in that situation once too often.

Staff turnover cannot be helped but sigh… it really affects the children’s development.

My DD told me last yr she really cannot understand what shes learning reason being all 9 teachers got different teaching style and sometimes when 1 tell hers like this can the next one comes and says like this do is wrong it causes CONFUSION to the child.

End up i and dh becomes the teachers i coach english he coach maths using their tetbook. Then DS becomes the chinese teacher.:rotflmao:

DH is a optimist he can still laugh and say lucky only DD teachers like that and at least we 3 can help her if both kids like this we can :stupid: :stupid: .
