Sigh! This is something that I noticed about the school's \"practice\" lately.

The teachers gave very conflicting instructions. For instance, for my boy, one of the questions in their listening comprehension required a one-word answer. The invigilator specifically mentioned \"one-word answer\". However, the answer required two words. When the students feedback this to their form teacher, guess what the teacher said? \"You don't always have to follow instructions.\" :faint:

What sort of reply was this? The students would be better off NOT receiving any instruction than getting conflicting ones! How could the teacher say such a thing? :stompfeet: :stupid:

Another example. The class was given some practice papers to do and it was only after the teacher marked the papers that she commented the papers were badly set. So, if the teacher had known that the questions were badly phrased, why didn't she bother to change the questions before assigning them to the students? 🀷

I was speechless after hearing all these.... :lightrod:
I agree with you. When I heard the comment abt the badly set questions, i almost flip. I think the comment is coming from one specific teacher

Actually i m most worried for him in MT. This is one of his weakest subject . As for Science, it remains to be seen since this is the first time for the kids . From the practise papers...it seems also the sama sama like MT sigh!!!!
Same here...later when get back paper, i will :yikes: again.

          Dino Mummy,

          Need your help here.

My boy will be having his Malay lessons next week. However, the book (Basic Conversational Malay or something like that) will only be available next week, according to the bookshop vendor. Can you please help me check the exact title and publisher of the book? I assume it's the same book that your boy had last year.

Heee....trying my luck here....Do you plan to sell away the Malay book, if you hadn't done so? I will be glad to buy from you if you intend to sell it away. πŸ˜‰

He did do badly..even he himself was disappointed :gloomy:

For compre cloze, reading is the best and another is really to do compre close passages to get the hang of it.
