      toddles:
somehow these crashes involving expensive cars always seem to have some subtext on \"odd\" non-spouse fellow passengers at the time of crash

      may be to impress ?

          MMM:
          verykiasu2010:

a few of the websites has the video of the accident captured by the in-car-video recorder of another taxi

it is clearly the felali beating the red light at a super high speed that crashed into the taxi - causing it airborne for a while

Wanbao interviewed the felali widow and said that he told her he was out going to practice his driving ..... hmmm or was it racing ? some more with a woman companion is the 20s also from China

Today's ST reported the 31 y/o felali driver from Sichuan bought a S$4m condo in the east and also has a $400k BMW .....

          http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showtopic=2678180

Don't these foreigners have to take a test to drive on Spore road???? Ok, I am not against PRC/ foreigners in particular. But they need to be educated that Spore is a small country and a felali can only travel up to 90km/ hour on Spore road. If he wants to practise driving, go to sepang or what.... not on spore road.

          not sure the regulation now

last time non-PR foreign driving licence cannot drive SG car except for SZ-plate rental car

also last time, foreigner becoming PR have six months to convert licence to SG driving licence, after the first 6 months of becoming PR, cannot convert, must re-test as in being treated a local

also last time, driving test super difficult to pass .... not like now
          (okay I am ancient now)

If he wants to die, by all means.... kill himself with his fast car. But pls leave the other innocent road users alone. To put it crudely, he deserves it but definitely not the other lives. :pokeeye:

OMG, I am starting to wonder if I am as ancient as you as those seems to be my impression as well. It was not that easy for foreigners to drive on Singapore road.

As for the passenger in the ferrari, I have no sympathies for YOU!!!!

The taxi driver is the sole bread winner. His son has to stop his tertiary education in the mean time. Probably has to seek MP’s help. Sad for this family.

A dash past red lights that crash & smash so many innocent people's lives & dreams.....
To me, he has it easy  ....a flash & he goes, no sufferings.
Leaving a pile of mess behind for others ....& the poor families. Just like that PRC @ Changi airport
