Hi
Any recommendations for hotels in Taipei? I am planning our trip in Sept for 2 adults and 2 children, 4 and 6 yrs old. -
hi,
You may want to try to rent an apt or stay @ one of the Roumei hotels…their rooms are quite spacious. Staffs are friendly too.
I would not recommend Tango hotels although their location is good and is really nice…but the rooms are much smaller
If you are F&E, you may want to engage a driver like what I did. And he can help you to plan your journey including hotel stays. So its like personalized package tour -
you can try rainbow hotel at "Xi men ting", i have engage a driver through the hotel and overall it was not bad.

Hi mypiggee
Is your driver good? Do you have his contact?
Can you share with me your itinerary? -
hi,
My driver quite ok...

I engaged him this Jan & we stayed at Tango Nanshi.
but this hotel really not suitable for family. Its good for business or couples...
Very gd location for food & Shopping.
We went Jiufen, Huang Jin Fu Pu, Ying Yang Hai (nearby only) and a place to put \"Kong Ming Deng\". Dunno if he still remembers me; known as Ms Lee (li xiao jie)
We would engaged him again end of the year -
We returned from Taipei recently & would like to share with everyone our itinerary for Taipei.
Day 1 - Flight there & dinner
Day 2 - Sun Yat Sun Hall. Shopping at Xinyi District (Shin Kong Mitsukoshi 新光三越 & Eslite), then proceed to Taipei 101. Shopping at Zhongxiao Fuxing area.
Day 3 - Trip to Keelung, Yehliu, Shifen, Jiufen. Super heavy rain and low visibility during our day trip. Hence, we ended returning early back to Taipei. Shida night market.
Day 4 - AM: Danshui & National Palace Museum. PM: Wufenpu & Raohe night market & Lijiang night market.
Day 5 - AM: Longshan Temple, Chiang KS Museum & Ximending. PM: Baby Boss & Shilin night market.
Day 6 - More shopping at Taipei Underground Mall & other places that we went before to grab last minute items.
Day 7 - Flight back to Singapore. -

Hello all
Taipei hotel room charge, does it go according to number of pax? My children age 3 and 6. When i book the room, do i state 2 adult or i need to tell them 2 adult and 2 children? I only need a standard room. The children can sleep with us, no additional bed required. So do i still need to pay?
Anyone have experience and can advise me?
Thanks. -
Planning to visit Taipei in Dec and go Leo Foo Village and Windows on China. Just wondering if it’s ok to buy the High Speed Rail Ticket on the day itself as the weather can be unpredictable in Dec.
Also, planning to stay at Flying Cow. Anyone can advise how to go about booking 2 nights stay at Flying Cow.
Thanks in advanced. -

i would think it is better to tell them outfront. if not, you may incurr hefty charges during check-in. in my search for hotels in taipei, I discovered that a lot of hotels only have queen bed (not king). i think 2A2C on 1 bed is quite cramp. also, for hotels that include breakfast in their pricing, they will ask that I pay for the child's breakfast.
perhaps you may want to consider Park Taipei Hotel (Daan station). They have a triple room - ask for the 1 king & 1 single. This could cater to your needs of 2A2C. i emailed to them directly & got the quote for this triple room with 3 breakfast.
