      SAHM_TAN:

Maybe you want to take a look at the below bk as well?

The Essential Parents' guide to Primary Maths : Strategies for solving challenging Maths problem by Dr Fong Ho Kheong published by MC

The author covers Heuristic and model approach methods. I bought it from Popular

Yes, Agrees with Mummy SAHM_TAN :hi5: - this book gives an overall picture towards Primary School Maths.

Went Popular but not able to find this book...search their online website also don't have...anyone knows where to buy it or anyone with used copy for sale?

      Many thanks!

        Hi sean wife,

Did you ask the staff to chk their database? Not all their books are shown in the online shop. From their database they will be able to tell you which branch has the bk or is it OOS.
        cheers

I am intending to buy the following assignment books, but do not know which book to buy, if you have used the below books, can you advise which is better?

            Gradual Difficulty Maths
Intensive Maths Drills by Issac C

            Thanks
you should flip through the 2 books and decide which format of questioning or standards you like.
i had flipped through both and chose Intensive Maths Drill. not sure if it is better, but i prefer the questions set (target my boy's weakness) and the structure of the paper (font size etc πŸ˜“).

              Hi Sean wife,
If you visit the Jurong Point outlet, this book is not under the Maths Assessment Section - think it is under Primary School \"aided\" (can't remember the exact wordings πŸ˜‰ ) section - near to the Chinese Book section. But recently, they have just re-shuffled and re-arranged the layout and seem to have move the assessment books \"inner\" also near to the Chinese Book area πŸ˜‚

                Thanks Champion and SAHM_Tan,

I called Popular and found the book but only available and Bras Basah, so ask them to do a transfer...I also bought the bar Modeling book last week, but haven’t really studied it. Was browsing through and attempting those maths questions posed in the P3/P4/P5 threads...realised that even if I can solved those P5 threads, my solution looked so complicated compared to what is presented by the expert here. And I thinking drawing models can become quite fun after a while, but still trying to understand those equalizing fractions, ratios kind of thing...ah, my rusty mind....

                BTW SAHM_Tan,

Is your 2007 DS still attending Jelic or has he switched to MPM? I am in 2 minds whether to let them finish up Jelic or switch to MPM....

                Thanks!

                  Hi sean wife,

DS is still in Jelic. I will let him finish. He’s now in level 7, so by next yr he should complete level 8. He was able to solve some of his sis K2 MPM work. So I think at this stage Jelic is better for him.

eh, i thought jelic only has 7 levels in all? ya, i was also told that upon finishing level 7, usually can start with 2nd half K2 work.

There are only 7 levels har? I always thought there are 8 :rotflmao:

Anyway will let him finish all the boxes in level 7.
