      Hi

I would appreciate any feedback on PCF Chongpang at BLK 309 with the Emilio Reggio approach.

Any feedback on the K1 teachers there?

      Thank you

Hi, i’m also impressed by what the parents has feedback on PCF curriculum. & starting to wonder is it going to be too fast a pace for my boy. He does not even know how to write his alphabets yet.

But already know his phonics well, then again. Not much of practise due to constant change to teachers in his current CCC. and i’m paying quite a sum after subsidy…
thinkin of changing him to a PCF near my house, but after reading what you all has wrote…has concern on the change…

        can anyone advise?

Since the charges are almost the same. Should I send my child to PCF Nursery (3hrs) or Childcare Centre (My First Skool) - Full Day?

            Hi jaymumy,
Every PCF is different. The normal PCF, those charging $100+ a month, are not fast paced. They prepare the kids reasonably well for P1, but their standards are average.

The PCF that my girl is attending, costs about $250 a month. The standard is very high and kids are expected to write in sentences since K1. It is still quite rare to find a PCF kindergarten like this.

In fact, our MP Mr Cedric Foo, announced in the graduation concert last week, that the 662B kindergarten has won the Best Kindergarten Award given by MOE.

Hopefully there will be more PCF kindergarten in other parts of Singapore who have the same standards too.

              Hi Fion

I guess it is not so much the cost but rather what are your needs? If your child attends a 2 or 3 hrly PCF nursery, is there someone to take care of him/her after school? If not, then u probably need a full-day childcare for your child.

If there is someone to care for him (ie yourself if you not a working mum or your mom or mom-in-law or your maid), then a nursery is probably what you need. But it really depends as some parents (even tho not working) prefers to send their kids to full-day childcare as they could have a younger kid to care for throughout the day or a sickly elderly to attend to....so whether nursery or childcare is really circumstantial ... you will need to assess your circumstance versus your needs ...

              Hope this helps 🙂

Hi anyone have children study in the PCF at Punggol blk 105 or 174. As i will be moving there want to switch my DS1 which will be in K2 next to one of the centre. Need some feedback from parent that the child has been or still in the centre for feed back.

Also any pre-nursery to recommed for my DS2 which will be 3 next year.

                  hi tamarind,

actually till date. when you said that your child pcf are u referring to normal pcf or those that are PCF Infant & childcare Centre?

Actually, I would like to have more info from those parents whose child are in PCF Childcare. As I’m a working mum, i need my child to be there from during my working hours.

Coincidentally, near my house there’s one. And i’m still contempt on whether to send him there or not.

                    Hi,

I am staying nearby that area and my girl is currently in N1 in a childcare. Am thinking of converting her to the PCF Nursery next year but not sure if it is good. Any mommies care to share their experience? Thanks 🙂

You can try the centre at 303A.
It's new (opened in July this year) & I like the teachers there.

They are using Jolly Phonics & some other maths program in their daily curriculum (sorry I can't remember the maths program offhand).

They have 3 sessions to choose from. They've also been given some award for being creative in their teaching. Seems like the kids are happy there 🙂
