          what about 蔡澜?

we have one fashion designer whose collections are worn by international stars and has his own shop in london......he is malay but cant remember his name............kekeke his collections too expensive.

what about mr chee soon juan? lots of foreign support he claimed....

also this singaporean now living in hk who is well known to the common folks in hk and spore. invited to many talks (finance) in spore.

          a).http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%9B%BE%E6%B7%B5%E6%BB%84

          b) http://www.cb.cityu.edu.hk/staff/msycchan

          c) http://www.ycchan.net/Bio.aspx

Googled 蔡澜's profile is recorded in some as born in SG and some as born in HK. He spent his life largely in HK and common people like me have never known he is linked to Singapore in any way though I have watched his programmes before... :slapshead: He is well-known for being a linguist??

Think someone pointed out the name for the fashion designer already, is he the one?

Dr Chee unfortunately has a lot of negative history on his shoulders due to his political activities.

Wah... you never say I really do not know such a Dr Chan exists. He is a well-known investment consultant or author of investment books??

蔡澜 from what I know is Singaporean. His sister was ex principal of nanyang girls high. Younger brother also used to work in tcs.

He is author, producer, 美食专家,节目主持人。well known locally, in hk, china, Taiwan...all the way to Canada....

Yes Ashley Isham is the guy. Very nice clothes

Dr chee....Kekekeke, maybe on the wrong side but still known in many countries\"...not to common people lah.

Yes, dr chan is well known in hk and maybe parts of china. He is on radio, tv, schools, papers etc talking about property and finance issues. I remember he was also guest speaker at some events organized by the chinese papers in Singapore.

Eh... Can food be considered ?

                  I can think of
                  1) Hainanese Chicken rice
                  2) CNY Lo Hei
I have created a new category for \"famous food\" but I must say food is one area we are CERTAINLY proud of... we have variety and finger-licking good stuff that we would miss after spending a few weeks overseas... 😉

da vinci - the furniture company.

美珍香 - in hk and maybe china

breadtalk has shops in the region including india.

                      sakae sushi as well........

                      popular bookstore

and oh yes, our one and only PAGE ONE.
Do you know that Page One in Singapore has closed down all their operations? I believe they are maintaining the ops overseas only.

Is Popular very international now? I know it well as a local label, I must be outdated. However, I have seen 美珍香 and Breadtalk venturing overseas, slowly but steadily I suppose.

Aiya...how can I forget OSIM? This one stands out too.
