Rather disappointed with PEH's explanation.
Why disappointed :?
Wonder where the document turn up from and why only appear at that time :? -

OT abit.. Anyone knows where to buy the WP big blue umbrella? Can get it at the rally site tomorrow? Any idea how much is it?
Yes, you can get it at the rally site. Going at S$10 each. Got 2 on the 1st day and autographed by Sylvia Lim. Saw someone asking her so I just lumpang.
Note that they don't have change. So be prepared to come with exact change unless you are willing to contribute to their party funds. -

Helping residents temporarily with their finances by directing them to piecemeal aid and charities is not going to remove the root cause of their problems. The more Desmond Choo goes along this approach, the more people will need help because the PAP will keep its policies intact without major change.
...
Lets not forget how the few tweaks to PAP policies came about. If not for the loss of Aljunied and the significant swing in the votes, you think the PAP will even twitch their policies let alone tweak their policies? The only way to bring about change has been demonstrated - it is through the ballot box. There is no other language the PAP understands. We can discuss and discuss. Feedback through the forum thousands of letters. We can tell the MPs in their face during meet the people sessions....but all this is useless because the PAP does not even move an inch unless you're prepared to reject their upgrading carrots and vote against them. This is the only signal they understand and nothing else. Unless people vote against them, they will just assume you're complaining and not serious about the changes you want. The PAP does not listen until you vote their MPs out of parliament. You have to show them you're serious.
:goodpost:[/quote]Just to add... unless MOE reviews education policy, 15 years from now, bright kids from poor families will...
(a) have learnt it's good to be bochap and lazy (lost all drive to better themselves)
(b) be unemployed
Boy... will they need piecemeal help then!! This is why I applauded when I read the following...

I was shocked when I learnt that ltk need to apply for license for a walkway.
Wonder how much he need to pay yearly? -
pinkblue:
Yah it's shocking to hear some of the \"under hand\" barriers they put in. Moving community clubs, etc.... before they take over. Also, only the grassroot advisor can be guest of honour :siao:I was shocked when I learnt that ltk need to apply for license for a walkway.

pinkblue:
Yeah. Me too. Get to hear a lot of what goes on that is not covered by MSM. And I think the MSM is still harping hard on what PEH said - had a glimpse of today's ST headlines this morning.I was shocked when I learnt that ltk need to apply for license for a walkway.

I have a feeling PEH didn't get to complete all that he wanted to say - his notes were all stuck together.
It is only a week, but I bet to those who are running it, it must feel like a month. So many turn of events, anything could happen. Guess PEH had his first taste of whatever there's to come - ehem...not that I know a lot lah..

Thanks for your reply, MMM !
Wow u can even ask for autograph, but if raining can’t use it else signature gone…
Actually i m asking on behalf of my mother, so I will tell her to go early tmr in case it is sold out!
Yesterday heavy rain at the rally so guess the sale of the umbrella is good? -
MMM:
Yes, correct. In the first place i dont see how highly intelligent minister can say this kind of thing :that he is not the best just because he was not selected for ncmp post ? Trying to confuse voters ?Actually to me.... so what???
I read somewhere that someone commented that is DC the best choice then for HG???? It appears that TPL is valued more than him. If he is really good, they would have find a place for him with a \"guaranteed seat\" just like TPL. It sounded logical to me :rotflmao:
After all, even if there were 2 or more equally good person, when there is only a post, only one can be chosen. So that does not mean all the others are no good. -

Really???? You saw from the download?
Watching rally on the computer seems to be better than live??? You get to see the speakers' facial expression. Reminds me of F1. Sometimes it's better to watch it at home. If you are live, you only watch a certain portion.... just zooming past.
I suppose the atmosphere is what makes the difference.
It touches me to read what the crowds did for one another during the heavy downpour. Sharing umbrellas, cardboard, plastic covers, etc... with strangers they don't know.... wow that kind of spirit....
Er.... we ran home and continue to watch. But I had to take a shower first as the last thing I want is to fall sick since I am travelling soon. -
Actually hor, since MBT and who's the other guy...ur..........oh dear, now I can only remember Mas Selamat's name - anyway, these two MPs's place should also have by election. The party has already gotten them to step down as ministers, and they are hardly contributing to Parliament.

(Oh, maybe they are doing it behind the scenes, like helping others write speeches..
)
BTW, are they even doing their rounds of Meet-the-people har? Very curious..
