[Bukit Merah] Primary Schools

Iam plang CHIJ under phase 2C & within 1km. Considering the new changes in the p1 regn for PRs, how far will be my chances of getting into the school since my dd is also PR. My other choices : within 1km r RMPS & ZDPS, within 2km GESPS, cantonment. Can anyone suggest me if i miss CHIJ in p2C, what shld be my next choice in P2C supp?

Looking at just Bukit Merah area, Phase 2C Supplementary most likely left with GESPS & BRPS. Just bear in mind that last year. Phase 2C Supplementary occur balloting for those staying at 1-2km.


Blangah Rise Pri can last until Phase 3 based on past balloting history record. : :imcool:

I’ve a wild tot :- if I abit "fan-jian", n do PV at RMPS - stil got chance to get in using 2B, if really cant get in, then 2C go for GESP ~ wat say u ?

Bec ini. my hubby dampen my spirit by saying PV is not "sure win" then lately he changed his mind saying tat he might consider to try - as "u’ll never knw if u dun try" … so now I’m abit half-hearted lor …

N if do PV is as "individual" or "a pair"(backup each other in case mc etc …) ?

Redvenus, I called RMPS rgd PV form … 2008 kids only can take d form next year n must fill-in down at the school …

You can consider a try for PV. PV is also no gurantee. If there are more PV than the place allocated, then there will be a balloting. Your lose out point is your distance for RMPS is 2km. If you can’t get in under P2B, i would said that chances under P2C is very slim as they will give prority to those stay within 1km and afterwhich, if there is still place available will be for those within 2km.

PV - husband and wife can take turn if not wrong.

Have you consider CHIJ which is a girl school? Might be easiler to get you. If you wanna do PV, can also consider RVPS or Fairfield methodist.

Fairfield have affilcation to Sec sch and even JC. That the plus point to get in. Fairfield will be more competitive ever be a PV. Cause under P2B, there are those who are under church Clan. Chances for balloting under P2b is very high.

Fairfield is a long shot if you are more than 2km. I think the school will basically turn you down whether you PVed or not.

I have friend who is staying at telok blangah area. Her child is currently in this school.


She did PV. As her location was more than 2km, under P2B, the places was allocated to those staying 1km and 2km. And there are still some places avaliable under P2B after being taken up for 1km and 2km. During her times, chances was 50-50% for balloting. During that years, Singaporean are given 2 slot chances for balloting. She already prepare fo the worse, if she couldnt get in under P2B, P2c is out of quiestion. Guess what, her kid name was drawn twice.

Sometime just have to give it a try. Morever, it afflicated to Sec school. Without afflication, the marks to go into the sec sch is about 247 for express.

I would like to get some general feedback from those who are familiar with River Valley Primary vs Radin Mas Primary. Which school is better in terms of PSLE results? I am considering either one since both are very nearby my house! Appreciate your feedback!

Better check whether the school upsize the PV hours to 60 or 80 in coming years. Also check if you are more than 2km, doing PV must get those nab nab get in.

Some schools allow PV duties to be perform by 2 parents.

My kid is 2007, so the pv selection should be known by this month. Not sure how many parents alrdy received the call from rmps but I definitely have not get any call yet...haiz...*pray
