Luanee,
Can share with me your PV experience at RGPS? I look at the PV application form, noticed that we have to list down the day / time
available for PV (Mon-Friday, Morning / Afternoon).
:please: -

The PV work we did were ad-hoc type, ie as and when the PV committee needed our help, they will send out an email to all parents and we will just response accordingly if we can match the hours. As we are working parents, we chose those that fall on weekends, or those that can clock more hours at one go so as to make our leave worth it. U can pm me if u need more info

read thru all 24 pages at one go and felt all the excitement the parents went through from choosing the school to the excitement of registration. I see many luck ones have girls so there were more "choices"
I have a boy born in 2005, am thinking of moving within 1km of NYPS, the thing is there is a risk, what if he can’t get in even with PV, is BTPS the only alternative?
Would appreciate advice since this thread may not be as active as during registration period. -

There are plenty of transfers from Bukit Timah Primary to the other more \"elite\" schools in the region from P2 to P4. BTPS is a great school on its own merit.read thru all 24 pages at one go and felt all the excitement the parents went through from choosing the school to the excitement of registration. NYPS’s application for PV for 205’s kids has already closed in Jul 09.
Only found it out last week to my absolute horror! I couldnt even get to speak to the person in charge of PV…
Just wondering if anyone has tried to appeal to apply for PV… sigh? -

Just got to know from the RGPS schoolbus vendor that my girl (Pri 1 in 2010) will be the 1st to be pick-up at 11am from my place and last to be drop off at 8pm!! I cannot imagine that she have to spend ard 3hrs everyday in the bus, desperate looking for alternative to go to school. We stay along sembawang road, near Yishun. Anyone keen for carpool or taxi sharing if you stay in the north and kids studying at Bt-Timah?

Hi everyone, I am in a dilemma. Maybe some of the experienced moms may wanna advise me...
From the official LTA letter, I have the following schools within the 1-2km grouping:
MGS
Pei Hwa
Bukit Timah Pri
Keming Pri
I have 2 girls (born 2005 n 2004) and so need to register for Pri 1 in 2011.
My first choice is MGS but I would have to register under phase 2C (no choice here) and my 2nd choice is actually CHIJ Our Lady of Peace.
My dilemma is: should I PV for CHIJ and register her in phase 2B and what see how it goes OR should I just pray very hard and just go for MGS in Phase 2C (though very high chances she wont get in)?
Anyone want to advise me please? Been running this through my head until want to explode already :?
