If you're S'porean, you still have a little bit of time to aim for Phase 2B priority via PV/GRL/SHHK (if you're hokkien). Within 1 km, you should stand a high chance of getting into NCPS. NCPS is going single session from 2013 but P1 vacancy remains at 300. Cheers!

Yes, i am sporean. Wanted to join the SHHK but read from tis the SHHK thread that chances of getting the recommendation letter is rather low cos the membership period is less than 3 years.

Then you should make a decision to join GRO (e.g RC) asap as it requires minimum 2 yrs. You have to be an Executive Member for 12 months by 30 Jun 2015, else not eligible for Phase 2B privilege. Nearer the date when school opens for PV application, you may try that if you do not wish to serve in GRO.

May I ask if I got into a school via 2B, can I still try out on 2C when the school just next to my block? Can I on-hold the registration for 2B and wait for the result for 2C balloting? What should I do?

No, you cannot hang on to your confirmed seat.

You will need to give up your 2B place before you are allowed to register in 2C.

Don’t give up your 2B place unless
1) you are pretty sure you can get a place in the 2C school
2) there is a 2CS school which you are comfortable with sending your child to, in case you failed 2C.

Can I still go for balloting via 2C after registering the school under 2B?

You will have to first withdraw from the 2B school, then you can

proceed to register at the 2C school.

But if you fail to get a place in the 2C school, there is no going back
to 2B school to claim the place you have given up.
